Keith Chegwin 'signs up'

The Sun newspaper has said that TV presenter has signed up to appear in January's Celebrity Big Brother. The paper said his fee would be £20,000. An 'insider' is quoted in The Sun: ‘CBB bosses hope Keith will bring a lot of fun to the show. He is a nice guy and could be the peacekeeper in the house.’ Keith aka Cheggers became a household name in the 70s and 80s in childrens and Saturday morning shows such as Swap Shop, Cheggers Plays Pop and Saturday Superstore. He battled alcoholism in the 80s and 90s and then had a roving-reporter role on The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 and also presented the show itself. He has also worked on GMTV for several years, and appeared on Dancing on Ice in 2013.
