what background do you reccommend, I'm kind of limited as I can't use a background too dark or the eye looks odd.

Nice job. The template is quiet sun-like , with the edges flaring in some sort of heat wave. The eye would look good with some sun-ish colour methinks.

I really like it, got that summery feel with the sun flares on the end, maybe change the colors so it has a more summer feel?
