"Michael Jackson had a habit of getting Demerol injections -- he even had a special name for them.

We're told Jackson called it "health tonic." He would have a doctor inject him because, we're told, he didn't like needles.

Our sources have told us Jackson was injected with Demerol at 11:30 AM the day he died. Shortly thereafter Jackson went into cardiac arrest."

"Dr. Conrad Murray sent the note on his letterhead from his medical practice in Las Vegas. He says, "I am deeply saddened to leave you at this point, but please know my absence is not permanent." He continues, "In my absence, I will continue to manage the practice, and be involved as much as possible but from a distance."

The letter says "My absence is not permanent."

We're told AEG -- the company that was putting on the London concerts -- put Dr. Murray on the payroll."

Same!
I mean I've always loved Thriller & a couple others, but I've just realised how incredible his music actually is.
IKR!
It's a bit like the the Elvis situation, when he became more famous after his death. I think MJ's death is bigger than EP's.

Apparently it had been revealed that there was 'no foul play' in MJ's death

"One question investigators will have for Michael Jackson's personal physician -- did he botch early CPR efforts on the King of Pop?

On the 911 tape obtained by TMZ, one of Jackson's staffers tells the dispatcher that Jackson is "on the bed" and that a "doctor is here." The doctor is Dr. Conrad Murray.

Several EMTs tell us it's odd that a veteran cardiologist like Murray would attempt CPR while Jackson was on a bed.

Common CPR practices call for the patient to be on a hard surface -- because it is difficult to compress the chest on a soft surface. The 911 operator told the staffer to "get him on the floor."

Cops have yet to officially interview Dr. Murray, but this will almost certainly come up."

He may have lay on the bed to receive his injection so that says a whole lot really.

Or perhaps Michael didn't have the energy or the passion to traul through the grueling procedure of court proceedings? He's not been well for a long time, sometimes it works out easier and cheaper to make a donate rather than drag things out through the courts.

I would also add that if a child of mine had been molested, there would be no way in the world I would accept any amount of money to settle the case. I would want that person brought to justice. Just a thought.....

I was watching all of his songs on The Vault earlier, there were a lot that I'd never heard before. Man in the Mirror is still my favourite though.

At wannashag:

At the Sree and Marcus comment (before you deleted it), Sree and Marcus haven't just died. Whether it's Michael Jackson, Sree and Marcus, or Aunt Sally from Dublin, when someone dies it's common to be kind and respect their passing. Sure you can lighten the topic (as some fans are in here, by discussing his music, his best times and his acheivements) but disrespecting him through your 'jokes' isn't what many want in this thread.

Anyway.

"A source close to the family of Michael Jackson tells TMZ the family has requested a second autopsy -- and it is currently underway somewhere in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Coroner conducted an autopsy on Friday and while he said there was "no indication of foul play," the official cause of death could not be determined."

You think calling somebody a pervert is more disrespectful than making jokes about one of the greatest music legends who is now dead? He has family, friends and fans (including myself and I'm sure many other forum members) who were very saddened by the news. At the end of the day everybody has their opinion and althought I never believe the allagations made against him nobody knew exactly what went on and never will but still I find it very disrespectful that people will post unnecessary, crass jokes on a public forum. Fair enough everybody has their own thoughts and can post what they like but is their need for the jokes which disrespect and offend his legacy, friends, family and fans?
