I see what you are saying, but I don't think you see what Kiz is saying. You took karma off someone for a post that annoyed you. Kiz hadn't done anything wrong. Someone took karma off her for the sheer hell of it.
I know exactly what kiz is saying but other than ''they're all childish with nothing better to do with their time'', there really was nothing else i could say about it, and i'm sure kiz already knows that ^^.

I was replying to your comment because i disagreed with it, that was what the example was for.

It didnt bother me, until this morning. I commented that I felt down and how the karma thing didnt make me feel very good about posting anymore and then I got a point taken for no reason.

The thing that annoyed me was the fact I said I felt down yet someone amplified that by taking one off me..... nice going

Can I ask how you know this person took the karma point off of you for this very reason?

I'll also ask that a suggestion be made in this thread I think it would be better to suggest that perhaps we are able to see who adds or takes away our Karma..

personally, I don't think that is a good idea.. it could potentially cause more arguments.

I'd simply still say turn it off if you don't like the idea of Karma.

Yea i see where your coming from
personally i dont think it is a good idea because if you really like a housemate and someone hates them they are only going to take karma off because they hate that housemate

Thanks so much for listening Amy. I had only made a few post..... I had 7 points and then commented in the other karma thread..... and then my karma went down..... now it could have been relating to another post but it just was too much of a coincidence.

It just didnt make me feel good about myself.

I agree with the childish point. I have just posted my views. If you don't agree with them fine. You are entitled to your opinion. As I said, we will agree to disagree.

I can see what you are saying Kiz, but there is still a chance that someone took the point off of you beause of a post done at another time. I see what you are saying but don't worry.. it's only Karma

I know, but you see it caught me at a very fragile time..... its snide and sneeky.

And thats just not how I see this forum.

I know that people asking why their karma has gone down in other places too.

I just dont like the negative aspect... and the agruments may have died down but you can bet your bottom dollar they wont be gone for long

I know Matt.... thats happened to a lot of people.

I know we wont be listened to.... but maybe negative karma should only be allowed once a day????

Or not at all.

I also think, as giving karma out makes me feel good that if you have the karma turned off you could still be allowed to give out possitive points

Everyone is listened to, Mark and James have done this at the request of members, they then made further changes again at the request of members.

Now more chages are being requested, when will it be enough I wonder

I know on one hand it's probably helped to stop some stupid little arguments but on the other hand it may well stifle debate, rather than some people actually bothering to think of a well thought out reply to what you've put they can just take karma off just because they disagree with you.I think only very silly/abusive posts are worthy of taking karma away not just because you don't agree with what someone has to say.

I'm all for positive karma as it's a nice reward for good posts.

I rarely think of the karma when I'm posting, don't think it prevents me from debating with someone. I'll give karma when it's deserved, usually a funny post or where someone has done something worthwhile.

But to be honest, I give more negative than positive. I'll give negative for grammar or spelling errors and especially for starting pointless bleedin threads and having titles like "Wow" or "OMG" without giving any more detail

Only change I would ask for is to be able to give both one positive and one negative karma each hour instead of just one of either. But it's not a major problem!

I guess people can simply turn it off if they don't like it or if they're not as popular as they hoped.

Sorry but I'm dyslexic and so are other people on the site, about 10% of site in fact if we have an average representation of the population here. Taking karma away from these people just because they can't spell or because they make grammatical errors is just mean and nasty.

It like judging people just because they are in a wheel chair!

It's just not on!

Yeah it isn't fair but as we established above, I'm mean and nasty!

Seriously though, it needs to be some pretty bad mistakes to tick me off enough to give negative karma, and karma is precious stuff cos I have to wait ages before I can do it again!

Since both you and Red have turned off karma, you have nothing to worry about though and I don't remember deducting any when you had it turned on!

i agree with Kizzy, its ridiculous that people are taking karma down for no reason, i've lost 3 points now in 48 hours and i don't know what i have done, i lost a point then and i don't know what i have done. :/

I didn't know you two were dyslexic...

...nor did I know that 10% of TiBB were.
