Hello all, just thought I'd throw out some info on BB10 (internally known as BBX) as production is starting to go into crunch...
The theme will be "X" (ten) and pretty much everything will focus around this starting with the launch date, June 10th. It wasn't always going to be this way though, until recently there were two choices, "X" or "RE-", the latter of which would be centred around the "resuscitation", "restart", "reboot" or "revival" of big brother (as everyone is very much aware that the series is fighting for its life) and the producers wanted Eatock to focus on this with the logo and design of this years production. He was in the loop about the possibility of the ten theme and managed to create an early logo which incorporates both the re- and ten themes (i'll try and get a pic of it). It has angled lines which converge to form an "X" at the pupil, they also look like lightning bolts when extended into the background to symbolize "resuscitation". The eye is orange and black (i think this is the strongest possibility - although there is some concern the colours are too similar to last years), but there are currently also a yellow/orange version and a pink/green version. Each of them have a different degree of contrast and they are just trying to figure out which one looks best on screen. It looks great in motion too, breaking apart like the BB6 eye and spinning around, the countdown idents ("10 days" etc) have only gone into production along with the titles and ads but there seems to be some optical illusions floating around. Continuing with the theme, there is talk of having the show run for only 10 weeks, which would be more in line with earlier series. There will however not be only 10 house-mates, one suggestion is 10 guys, 10 girls but this presents eviction problems if they go with a ten week run.
The task creators are already at work, far earlier than other series, which shows you that everyone is going all out this time. They have some hilarious 10 minute tasks lined up!
These are all trivial things though, I mentioned the need to kick start the series again and although I don't know of anything concrete, I hear there are some huge changes coming to the format (it may have something to do with the secret auditions held, which were meant to attract a different kind of person, so some house-mates might not even know they are going on big brother!)

It would be more believable if it hadn't already been confirmed as 13 weeks

Interview with the producer, he said something like "we try our best to get the best group to entertain us for 13 weeks"

if this year wasn't 13 weeks then he probably wouldn't have said that

and Channel 4 decide how long it will be- not the producers who work for Endemol- and they wouldn't leave it this late (literally 8 weeks before launch) to decide how long its going to be. Channels usually commission big things like this around 20 weeks in advance so the length will have already been set in stone
