The issue isn't exactly with him mocking his accent, because people do that with Freddie, Noirin and Charlie.
It's the fact it was coupled with the aggressive tone. It wasn't on, but not enough to cause a "controversy".

That had me in absolute hysterics, the way he was conveying it, calling everything BB said rubbish etc (but in harsher terms), it was very funny. He is absolutely right though, other housemates get imitated but the PC brigade were concerned because Sree was imitated. Oh dear.

It was cos he said it in an aggressive tone, though. If he just did the accent, like the other HMs have done to each other - it wouldn't be an issue at all. He said it with vitriol though!

about the racist thing that is so true if someone made the mickey out of noirin or freddie accent he wouldnt have been in trouble but if ya take the mickey out of an indian persons accent its a whole different story

I didn't actually see the clip where he said what he said, but I still think the point stands, because he didn't say anything racist, but he mimicked him in an aggressive tone - I would say it's the equivalent of making a borderline racist comment as part of a comedy act. It's not against the law, and I think it was a bit unnecessary of Big Brother to call him out on that, because he didn't do anything (legally) wrong.

No he didn't do anything legally wrong, but in terms of the BB house rules - I imagine he did. It was very aggressive the way he said it, and I think BB were right to call him up on it. However, I don't agree that it was racist, but it was offensive.

Marcus OWNED BB with that rant...they backed right down when he accused them of being racist themselves lol!

Yeah I think it was good when he called them out on being PC; he didn't say anything directly racist, so yeah while it was said in an aggressive tone, what he actually said wasn't racist, and there is no real grounds for someone to be offended by what he said.

He handled it brilliantly. That speech was long over due.
