Hello
I've noticed over the last week or so that a number of old articles about Helen have been posted on the forum. I wondered if you would be interested in reading a transcript of a radio interview she gave last year on the Heart 106.2 Breakfast show on January 10th. Helen was a guest on the show throughout the morning and was interviewed four times. This is the first part of the interview, I hope you enjoy it. I will post the other parts in the next few days. Part one David Preevers: Erica North is with me and from Big Brother 2 the lovely charming Helen Adams. Hello. Helen: Hello Erica North: Looking very good for this time of the morning. I'm very impressed. H: Well I'm used to getting up quite anyway so it's OK DP: Why do you get up so early then? H: This is great. Well I'm on the Sky One show with Lorraine. So you,ve got to get up quite early for that, see? DP: Oh forgot you do that of course H: Yes Loads of people don't see it. Loads of people go: I haven't got Sky One DP: Now are you loving every second of your life now or did you prefer it the way it was before? H: Erm, oh that's a difficult question. erm sometimes I do and sometimes I wish I was back in Wales and nobody knew me. EN: Really? DP: Oh you don't really. Why? H: Oh well it's not all glitz and glam really EN: Tell us what's not glitz ang glam then. tell us what's wrong with it. H: Reading stuff about yourself in the papers thats not true. everybody sort of like knowing you and it's like sometimes it's really nice but sometimes it can get a little bit too much, you know? DP: If you could wave a magic wand and go back to the way it was before, would you? If we gave you the chance if I handed you the wand now and you could go back... H: yeah but if I could go back there I wouldn't know Mr Clarke, would I? you know. EN: Ahh , so it's still a big love thing then? H: It is a big love thing, yeah DP: How hard was it for you to get it together in those first days after Big Brother. Talk about a relationship under the spotlight. It's ridiculous. H: Well those first days after Big Brother I didn't even have a mobile phone, so I couldn't even ring Paul. I was like erm I haven't got a phone what am I going to do? Mum can you go out and get me a phone. I was like that. My other phone wasn' t working so it was very difficult in those first days, yeah. Solid as a rock, we are, me and Mr Clarke are. DP: Is stuff happening on a regular basis , generally speaking? H Well, do you do stuff? DP: Not as much I'd like to be honest. Alright then I haven't done stuff for ages. It's quite sad really. Which is why we quite nosey about your stuff EN: She's not saying anything H: I'm not saying anthing DP: Who do you still see . Do you see any of the guys? Because you were hanging out with Narinder for a while, weren't you? H: Me?! Are you having a laugh? No I'd say Narinder's permanently attached to Brian at the moment. DP They're saying that Big Brother is going to come back again. Dou think it will be as good this time around? It's hard isn't it? H: I'm sure it will be good because everybody's interested in everyone else lives aren't they? We're all nosey at the end of the day, aren't we? DP: We're all nosey so I'm sure it will probably be good Now we've got a few questions for you here. H: OK I hope they're not very difficult DP: No they should be easy for you because Mr Clarke came in to see us. H: Did he? DP: and we asked him loads of questions about himself and we,ve got the answers here. EN: It's kind of a Mr and Mrs style quiz to see if you know the answers H: This is cool. I like this game DP: Well you won't if you get this wrong. DP: What is Paul Clarke's date of birth? H: It's 19th April DP: Let's hear if you're right H: I'm right Paul(on tape): 19th of the 4th 76 H: yeah! Mr Clarke's voice here. DP: Calm down. Alrght I'm going to ask you one more now H: OK DP:What are Paul's parent's names, his Mum and Dad's names? H: They're called Jenny Clarke and Kenneth Clarke EN: Kenneth Clarke, really? H: Kenneth or Kenny DP: So you've got Jenny and Kenny? H: Jenny and Kenny DP: Let's see if you're right PC: My mum's name is Jenny and my dad's name is Kenny H: Yeah OK DP: Stay with us. I love having you here; you make me laugh. I don't know why but you do. Helen is with us from Big Brother 2 End of Part One Part Two tomorrow |

We are interested in absolutely anything to do with Big Brother 2 especially, in my case, in regard to Paul and Helen so your transcript of the radio interval is extremely welcome. I look forward to reading the rest of the interview in the next few days. Thank you SO much for taking the trouble to post on our site. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm so glad you're all enjoying the interview. Here is Part Two:
DP: I am sitting opposite the lovely Erica this morning but Helen Adams from Big Brother is here with us as well. Do you still see any of the other cast members from Big Brother 2? H: Erm, a couple of weeks ago we had to do a sort of thing for Big Brother. It was a programme called Big Brother: Small World which was on a couple of .... when was it on? on Saturday or something. EN: It was on the other weekend H: The other weekend, yeah and I saw them all then but they really don't talk to you and go 'How are you doing Helen?' they sort of like leave you to it. EN: You're gone and then you're out there H: Yeah you're out there EN: You mentioned briefly a moment ago about the newspapers when you read things that aren't true. Would that be the worst thing that has happened to you since coming out of the house? H: Yeah....No I'll tell you the worst thing was actually coming out into this mad world! DP: It's quite insane isn't it? H: Yeah especially when you go in being this like...and I was quite sort of like.... I've learnt a lot about life and I've learnt the hard way. I was quite of like a young sweet innocent girl and I thought no one would do you any wrong or anything. EN: But you are still young, sweet and innocent, please. H: Erm I can be quite tough when I want to be... don't take any rubbish off anyone now. DP: What's been the top number one thing you've learnt then? What's been the big thing you've taken away from the show? H: Not to let people take you for granted just because I'm blonde and have got a nice Welsh accent, people just think Helen's a bit of a bimbo but I'm not really. I can be clever.(LOL) DP: I always thought with you it was a big act and underneath it all you were really a physicist underneath it all. H: Actually no , excuse me I have got letters after my name because I did a beauty course as well so I've got letters after my name, come on. DP: What letters are they? H: I can't remember! (LOL) DP: OK so that's one of the worst, so what's one of the best things that's happened to you since leaving the house? H: It's got to be being with Mr Clarke. EN: You're so in love. DP: Let's give you another question in the Paul quiz. H: OK I like this game a lot. DP: What was Paul's last girlfriend's name? H: Phillipa DP: Let's see if you're right PC: My last girlfriend's name... long term grirlfriend's name was Phillipa H: I know DP: You've got them all right so far H: and his new girlfriend's called Helen (LOL) DP: is the right answer as well DP: What is Paul's favourite car? H: Oh an Audi TT DP: An Audi TT. Let's see if you're right EN Could be 4 in a row PC: My favourite car is a Ferrari DP: Oh no H: He's let me down there Mr Clarke has; that's not on. He always told me he wanted an Audi TT now he's bloody change his mind. Oh sorry! DP: You have words when you get home. H: I will. Ferrari? In his dreams! DP: Stay there will you. We'll come back in just a second; we're with Helen Adams from Big Brother 2 on Heart 106.2 End of Part Two I will try and post Part Three tomorrow night. I hope you enjoyed it. |

Vintage Helen isn't it?
Here's Part Three: DP: Helen Adams from Big Brother is sitting opposite us. I'm curious,Helen. Do you still get your hair done at Classy Cutz? H: No. Do you actually think I'd go back to Classy Cutz? Can I just say one thing. Do you realise that when I was in that house, the woman who owns the salon made £80,000 on selling stories on me! DP: Did she really? H: Really DP: You're kidding! H: There's another good thing actually about coming out of the Big Brother house; I know who my true friends are without a doubt and you could have gone through life not knowing who your true friends are but I definitely know I've got a good handful of true friends. DP: You don't go home to see them then? H: No DP: How tall is Paul then? H: Paul is 6 foot 1 EN: You said that with confidence. Let's see if you're right PC: 6 foot 1 H: Yeah! I've only got one wrong DP: It's very disappointing that you are getting them all right. 4 out of 5. Do you watch reality TV now? H: Yeah. who doesn't like Pop Idol really. Oh I mean it's just fantastic isn't it. Saturday night me and Paul are there and I'm like is it 5 past 6. no it's 20 past 6. Oh no I've got to wait a bit longernow. And I'm like when's the result?Ooh who do you want to win?ooh. Me and Paul watch it and the judges go 'That performance wasn't so good or 'I don't like what she's got on' DP: Who's going to win do you think? H: I did have my bet on Gareth but Will's got that cheeky look and definitely a unique voice. DP: You were saying there that you think he's kept his feet on the ground, is that something that's important to you because it must have been very easy now you get invited to all the showbiz parties and all that sort of thing. H: I don't like to go to showbiz parties, I stay in with Paul EN: I've seen lots of pictures of you coming out.. H: No you go and they're not all they're cracked up to be really because you go and can't really go there have a good drink, there's loads of press outside so I'd rather stay in with Paul and get drunk and play 3-D Snakes and Ladders. DP: 3-D Snakes and Ladders? H: Paul goes to me, he phoned me up a couple of weeks ago ,'I've bought some fantastic present' And I'm like 'Oh God it's like diamond earrings or something you know? and he goes 'You're going to absolutely love it because we always used to play Snakes and Ladders in the house didn't we? So I get home and it's 3-D Snakes and ladders and I'm like (sounds disappointed) Cheers Paul that's really great. EN: I didn't know they do that in Tiffanys H: No they don't. Toys R us I think it was. DP: So what are you going to do then? Are you going to carry on just doing loads of television stuff. This time next year if you could be doing one thing what would it be? H: Oh God I don't know what I'll be doing. I don't think I'll be doing TV. TV stuff no. I think I'll just be dossing and chilling a bit. DP: Good girl EN: And why not? Brian's off to do SMTV isn't he? Have you spoken to him? H: He is. I think he's got a year's contract with them which is very good, well done to him I don't blame him. DP: Have you spoken to him? Have you said well done and stuff? H: I haven't spoken to him,no EN: Have you got any tips because you've had your TV show for quite a while now. H: I don't really do presenting really. He had lessons in presenting EN: Has he? H: But I just sit on the sofa and chat to Lorraine, chat about girlies' things and hair and fashion EN: Speaking of which I complimented you on the lipgloss earlier on. I noticed a rather nice sparkly powder you've got on. I want to talk make-up. H: Shall we talk make-up, we like make-up DP: That's where we leave Helen and Erica. Stay with us we'll come back in just a second. End of Part Three I shall post the final part on Thursday night |

Chris - fantastic!
![]() ![]() ![]() A 3D snakes and ladders set. Bless his little cotton socks!! He was thinking back to the den, and I think that's fantastic. Not diamonds, true.......but still better than the ironing board OH bought for me one birthday with co=op stamps!! ![]() He was bemused by my reaction. ![]() Never mind, he does all his own ironing now! ![]() Helen seems to have been very philosophical about her future on TV, and lets hope they are still happy staying in and getting tipsy watching the box. Can't you just imagine them watching Pop Idol? ![]() Thanks again Chris. I know it's an old interview, and we are all deeply sad, but we are harmless......... ![]() |

Chris I'm really enjoying this -waiting for the next episode
![]() Love the little Helen insights - I think its lovely Paul bought 3D snakes and ladders. I get the impression he is one of those rare men who actually think before buying something for their partner. Like you ROB I have been the recipient of romantic presents from my OH such as a steam press (cos I'm always breaking irons) and a cafetierre with packet of coffee) All Paul and Helen need now is a den in their own garden and maybe Helen you will get a diamond of some sort soon - we can only hope ![]() ![]() |

It's the perfect gift indeed! Only £9.99, a bit complicated looking, and involves a lot of stretching and reaching over judging by the 5 year olds on the box! I imagine it will have given them hours of fun......... Well, I think it was a sweet, thoughtful and romantic gift. I mean, he couldn't really buy her this, could he? ![]() |
