I think this might be quite good, but it sounds like a bit of a weird concept! Just go and video of some students around exam time and you will see sleep deprivation. Or some doctors?? hehe

I think it sounds good as well.

Its absolute heaven for a certain forum member here as well, Dermot not just presenting but living in there with them As he's the only one to be allowed to sleep in there we might get some footage of Dermot in his pyjamas lol I'm sure Amy would love that

I've just started watching this, it looks good. Rather them than me though, they make me tired just looking at them. At least it will give e4 a bit of a winter dusting off anyway, not looked at it much since bb. It will be interesting to see how long they can last, even if it is mad.

Don't show them the smiley though.

Well they are all sleeping at the moment - in the middle of a designated 'sleep break'. Doesn't this sort of defeat the object

Dermot was on Richard and Judy there. He explained about the naps that they were in uncharted territory and were taking medical advice, and didn't want to cause harm.

A sleep expert on the show said that without the sleeps they probably wouldn't last three days, even with the incentive of the Ł100,000 prize.

One of the contestants was interviewed as well.

LEE, hubby and I watched this too. I couldn't decide who I wanted to win! It would have been nice to see a fresh face win but then The Power didn't win last year so it was good to see him win his 11th world title. A damn good match - we were on the edge of our seats chewing our nails with excitement!

They still all look exhausted even with a 2 hour power nap. I thought they'd do it with no sleep, but if they'd never make it to the end, and its safer, well so be it. The thing about bb is they were always having a nap, especially Gos the king of the kippers. So we should be used to it.

I'm not sure about the concept of this programme - could be very dangerous.

Though I must say they seem a really well selected bunch - good personalities. Hope they do this well in BB5.

Must say though after watching Dermot in his home that our Amy is doing a good job keeping it clean and tidy and looking after her husband. Did you join him in the sleep deprivation or be there to meet his every need?

I'm sure Amy could think of all sorts of things to do to keep Dermot awake

(Playing Scrabble, watching TV, posting on TiBB.... the list is endless )

Well, I watched it last night and I have to say that I find Dean hilarious. He seems adamant that he WILL be the winner, and when he had that hallucination...well lets just say I think it brought him back to reality a bit. Found it quite sad when Salma left, even though I had only watched it for a while, she seemed really cool and someone who would liven the house up a bit (but that would be a bit difficult since they would all be falling aslep )

I just went on the channel 4 website, and it seems that Lucy has opted out because she is too tired...

How is everyone else finding this? I think it is fantastic! (maybe that is just because I am really bored!)

We're doing our own version of Shattered here - I have a cold and so does my daughter (who's just turned 1). So she doesn't sleep very well at night at the moment - so neither do I!! So I know how they feel.

I'm really enjoying this its got me hooked I wonder if they are planning a celebrity version of this?
they seem to be giving them more tasks to do in seven days than there was in all of bb4.
and Kaphc I know how you feel I think it would have been a close game if all of them had been parents of sleepless childrenalthough the temptation to make the most of the break might have been too hard to resist and they may have fallen asleep first
