Default Ghost Hunt In Newcastle! New News!

As reported by BigSister Here, Here's some NEW news from Dean Maynard on the line up etc on the Ghost hunt, I'd like to say a Big Thank You to Dean for all of the following Information

The Line up...
sissy.
shell.
stuart hosking
emma
lisa jeyne
marco
helen and paul ( helen to confirm )
p.j
ray
justine
narinder
nasty nick ( to confirm )
michelle and stuart ( to confirm )
Dean also says that they are in talks with more housemates and, to me, they'd be silly not to take part as it sounds like they're in for a good night!

Whos doing the show?
The ghosthunt is being arranged by Dean and his good friend Phil Whyman from most haunted! They may be joined by uri gellar as well!

Is it going to be on TV?
Channel 4 and E4 are considering filming the show! Dean will know more on this shortly!

Sounds like it's going to be great! All those ex BB housemates If it's not taken up by TV then they're silly! Any ex BB housemate not taking part will probably miss a good night as, if it's anything like other ghost hunts I've seen, they're in for a cracking night!!!!

Come on Helen - get that confirmation in. You know you want to spend the evening clinging to Paul and it will give you a lot of excuse to scream a lot. But are our ears ready for that

Sounds like the biggest get together of ex housemates ever. But can we please have Derek from Most Haunted as well?

Any idea of the date involved?

Right own up who has a huge plasma tv and doesnt mind playing host to a 'few' members of this site for a ghost hunt party.

We could all raid the local shops for white sheets and the host could not clean for a few weeks so there are cobwebs, plus a good supply of ghostly cocktails provided by Boris's bar.

Could be fun - but no bats please.

Quote:

Ghost hunter Dean Maynard knew exactly who to call when he heard there was something strange going on.

Dean, 32, from Prudhoe, Gateshead, has been tracking down ghosts for three years and has now called on former Big Brother contestants to join him on a televised hunt in Newcastle next month.

He already has 12 former housemates on board and is waiting to hear from producers at Channel 4 after his ghost hunt idea was pitched to them yesterday.

He is also hoping the former Big Brother contestants will raise money for the tsunami appeal by recording their own version of Ghostbusters, the hit song from the 80s film.

He said: "I think the programme would work really well, raise money for charity and be great publicity for Newcastle. What we do as ghost hunters is a serious business, but the Big Brother ghost hunt would be more light-hearted."

The expert on the paranormal plans to reunite up to 20 housemates for a night of ghost-hunting in Newcastle Castle Keep at the end of February.

So far Stuart Hoskin, Narinder Kaur and Paul Clarke from BB2; PJ from BB3; Sissy Rooney, Lisa Jeynes, Ray Shah, Justine Sellman and Gos from BB4; and Shell Jubin, Marco Sabba and Emma Greenwood from BB5 have said they would be interested.

Nasty Nick Bateman from BB1 and BB5 couple Michelle Bass and Stuart are yet to confirm whether they will appear.

The former housemates will be divided into two teams who will then be led around the supposedly haunted 12th Century keep by either Dean or Phil Wyman from TV's Most Haunted programme.

Contestants will take it in turns to spend time in the condemned cell, said to be haunted by the ghost of a 15-year-old girl called Briony, killed several centuries ago.

Dean came up with his idea for the programme after bumping into Michelle Bass and Stuart Wilson while ghost hunting in Blackpool.

Michelle, from Dinnington, Newcastle, and Stuart, joined Dean and his team investigating paranormal activity at the ghost-train in Blackpool's pleasure beach.

Dean said: "We had such good fun down in Blackpool and I started wondering if any of the other housemates would be interested."

Dean, an insurance claims agent, is passionate about his hobby but said his wife Stanna, 31, a hotel events manager, is sceptical.

He said: "My friends call me a ghost-hunting geek. I've heard screams and detected ghosts but I have only ever seen one, a mist 3ft or so high, at Washington Old Hall."

We get our hopes up just to have them dashed. Thanks for checking though. Such a shame whatever TV company/ies turned this down need their head examining. What with all the BB fans coupled with Most Haunted the viewing figures would have been high.

Hi everyone,
So sorry that the news about this wasn't what everyone wanted to hear.
I'd been involved in recruiting the housemates for this show since December, and it was honestly so frustrating for myself, but especially Dean.

He approached so many production companies, and had meetings with a number of these (including Channel 4, E4 and Channel 5). They were given time to think about the concept, but I know that C4's reason for not commissioning the show is that the BB panto was not nearly as successful as they were hoping for. They thought it would be BB overkill.

Whilst it's been really disappointing, one positive thing about it for me was seeing how approachable and friendly the vast majority of housemates were. They really are a decent bunch, lol!

Thanks for the post Nic and for all Dean's hard work. We could have told them why the Panto wasnt that successful - could it have been the Jade factor rather than BB overkill?

Would have thought Living might have been interested after all they do Most Haunted, Dead Famous and I'm Frightened etc.

Perhaps in the future - you never know.

I agree I'm sure most people are sick of seeing Jade on everything. It really is spoiling it for the others.
Such a shame this couldn't have been put on instead of the panto
