I think it has resulted in the housemates bitching so much. Being able to observe everyone means they all see what is going on and make wild guesses to the things they can't hear.

I preferred the house last year.

The horrible colour scheme does my head in, it's all garish primary colours. And those yellow sofas are gross. But then BB wanted a pretty unwelcoming environment to stimulate more of the arguing which definately seems to have worked!

I agree. I don't like the fact that they have to go outside to get to the living room either!

Not sure that I am that keen on the living room being seperate from the rest of the house. I feel that it has caused a lot of the division in the house by them having the space to have 2 camps so to speak

I don't like having two main areas of the house and people that get evicted are not seen off.

I do like the naughty step as well but I dont think that BB have used this to its full potential. They could have had so much more fun with this step couldnt they

I preferred the house last year.
But Davina said at the start last year that the colour scheme, the size of the garden, the reduced interior space, etc. had all been introduced to cause as much conflict as possible. At least this year they've been transparent about their intentions.

And I don't like what they have done to the house. I don't care if the producers think it was a good idea, I don't think it was. I enjoyed last years show much more than this years and haven't like all the conflict the house design has generated.

In the league of the best big brothers series so far this one comes in at number 5.... just in front of Big Brother 4.

Well, I think that the hm's make the show. And last year was a pretty poor selection, even though the show itself was a good one.

I disagree about last years housemates not being good I think they were more entertaining than this years lot. As not to distract from this thread I will start a poll about which housemates are/were best.

How jolly spiffing.

I would've thought that the large windows and the clear, unobstructed views, etc. would give a feeling of comfort, as opposed to the reduced living space and garish colours of the BB5 house.

I like the screen between bedroom and kitchen so people can see through it. However id like to see maybe a few tables instead of one big dining table just to see who sits with who and if they select certain seats etc.
