I don't understand how does the bet thing work. It says 14/1 does that mean that person has 14 more chances winning or does it mean they have 1 chance in 14 to winning?

If you bet 14 dollars, you will gain 15 dollars (which is basically saying that you only earn 1 dollar)

if it was 1/14, you'd bet 1 dollar, and win 14 dollars.

but that also means the person with the higest of the front numbers, is who the mass audience is thinking is going to win? Grace has 40/1 so people think she might be the winner

It's called taking a gamble. That's what betting is. Some people say all betting/gambling is stupid. You'd have more chance with a bet on any of those winning CBB than winning the lottery

I think these odds are for an eventual winner, so the 6/1s are the favs.

The fact is, once the game is underway, these odds will be greatly slashed. 6/1 is high for a favourite. That's why they're up now. You are basically betting on two different things, whether they will enter the house and whether they will be the eventual winner.

Whats the point of betting odds when they havent even gone in yet? It's stupid. And anyway, i hope that isn't the real line up

Really hope that Jade doesn't go in although judging by the rumours it's looking like she will appear somewhere along the line.

That list looks very disapointing. Especially the Jade thing. I'm not even sure why she's going back.

Yeah going by the rumours it does seem like it's going to be a dissapointing line-up, we say this at the moment but no doubt we will all have our favourites by the end of tonight.

Yeah true Mike. I felt the same way during CBB4, but ended having almost half of them as favourites.
