Default 82% Vote Jade Out and Jade only 82% of the vote? something not quite right? (merged)

In the most talked about (and widely anticipated) eviction in CBB history, it was Jade who exited the House with 82% of the vote.

There might have been a certain inevitability about tonight's events, but it still came as a shock when Davina boomed that it was Jade's turn to be evicted from the Big Brother House.

It's been a memorable return to the House for the 25-year-old, who first entered the BB House back in 2002 in the third series of Big Brother. She's since managed to carve a career out of reality TV. This time around she didn't go in alone: she took boyfriend Jack and mum Jackiey along for company, and it's fair to say the three of them turned the House upside down as soon as they arrived.

It didn't take long for Ken to take offence at Jade, and on Day 5 he directly referred to her as "slightly demented, darling". The film director hot-footed it out of the House soon afterwards. Then it was Donny's turn - it seemed that the task of being a servant to the Goody family simply wasn't rock 'n' roll enough, and he shouted words to that effect from the rooftops as he scrambled back to the real world.

Week two in the House brought its own unique turn of events, starting with Jade bewailing the shock exit of mum Jackiey from the House, swiftly followed by a ruck over Dirk's antics with a mini bottle of whiskey. But it was three (or maybe four) stock cubes that finally sealed Jade's fate.

Farewell, Jade. It's certainly been eventful...

Not high enough in my opinion when you consider housemates in previous series have received higher-percentages for way much less bad behaviour.

Spot on.

I was hoping 99% of the votes, but thought it would be 93% of it.

You have to remember that there are people out there who are simply racist. In fact they are proud to be racist.

They may never have voted for a BB contestant before. They may never have even watched BB before, but since the media has made Jade the poster girl of racism in the UK, they may be voting to keep her in and get Shilpa out.

Thats were part of the 18% has come from. And I'm sure some of it comes from people who just don't like Shilpa. She can be a little patronisng at times, some people do find her fake and a little bit up her own arse. And some people may even remain loyal to Jade (yeah, I don't understand it either, but there will be some out there)

I almost broke my self-imposed voting ban to get her out but there was never any danger of her staying so I resisted temptation.

For God sake people did it ever occur to you some people just don't like Shilpa, not everyone has to love her, and no I don't like Jade and am glad she's gone, I just wish Shilpa had gone way before her. I (and my mum and sister) all voted Shilpa, not all people who voted her out are "Jade's agent", "Chavvy freaks" or "bullying or racist supporters".

I'm sure people simply don't like Shilpa but to have someone that's a bully going before her would be a complete travesty and dangerous message to send that behaviour such as hers could be tolerated.

I heard some people on the radio this morning who were talking about voting out Shilpa because it was all down to her that the arguments started.I was totally bemused.

Default Jade only 82% of the vote? something not quite right?

Right after last weeks turmoil in the house, Jade only came out with 82% of the vote, which was less than [recent example] Sezer, and I thought everybody hated her, I feel that 18% of the public were unmoved by what happened last week, or am I wrong, and people do actually dislike Shilpa for genuine reasons.

And no silly suggestions like "Jades family voted for Shilpa, or BNP voted for Shilpa" because thats not what I'm asking, I'm asking is there anyone out there who'd know a reason why anyone would vote for Shilpa over Jade?

1. The longtime Jade supporters.
2. People who thought that keeping Jade in would make it more entertaining/people who think Shilpa is boring
3. People who are racist towards indians
4. Girls who are jealous of Shilpa
5. People who dialed the wrong number
