From The Sun
DIPPY Jade Goody has smashed up a new Porsche swerving to avoid a deer. The £45,000 supercar was only a month old and was the pride of the former Big Brother star. But mum-of-two Jade, 24, said: “I was so scared — I thought I was going to die.” She and fella Jack Tweedy, 18, were on the A414 heading home to Chipping Ongar, Essex, when the crash occurred. Jade said: “It was the early hours of Sunday. From nowhere, a deer ran across the road. I reacted and we went flying into a ditch. “Neither of us was hurt but I feared the car would blow up.” Jade passed a breathalyser test, adding: “I hadn’t been drinking so everything was fine.” She beat a car ban last month after overturning a conviction for driving without a licence. I heard on the news this morning also, that Jack has received a driving ban and a fine. Anyone else heard that? |

If she's not crashing them, she's parking them in disabled car parking spaces.

It is a horrible ordeal to happen to anyone.
I would imagine that a "Deer" coming towards you while driving, you would only have a second or two to make a decision. Maybe less time? But, an accident like that is going to stay on Jade & Jack's mind for some time. The main thing, is, Jade Goody & Jack Tweed are okay! The insurance will sort out the damage to the vehicle. That part is fine. Even though, it is never nice to see your lovely Porsche in a crash. But like I said, the most important part is Jade Goody & Jack Tweed are okay and well and I am sure we will see and hear much more of them in time to come. nodisharmony ![]() |

I think that is unfair to say. It is not the driver's fault, if an animal comes running towards an on-coming vehicle. nodisharmony ![]() |

I remember this story:-
http://www.merrymedia.co.uk/index.ph...1465&Itemid=61 Maybe Jade Goody was in a rush or had something on her mind at the time? I have seen many park in disabled bays at supermarkets. Certainly very unfair and I believe that should'nt happen.. If you are disabled, then that priviledge of having a special disabled parking space is essential. I am sure Jade Goody would look back at that as being a selfish decision, that she wouldn't repeat again. But avoiding a Deer, is completely separate from a parking error. nodisharmony ![]() |

I can sympathise with the deer episode - we hit a badger when driving on the motorway late at night. It completely wrecked the front of our car, cost £2k to repair. It was over and done with before we knew what'd happened.
On the other hand, parking in a disabled space is unforgivable. My Nan is disabled, and we often have to see her struggle getting out of the car, and have to wheel her further, only to see perfectly fit and healthy people walk to their car and drive off from the disabled space. It's simply not fair. |

But both a frightening. I have nearly hit a Fox/Cat/Rabbit/Dog, certainly an odd Bird. But a Deer, would be a harrowing experience for Jade & Jack to deal with. I hope they feel better now, after this. ____________________________________________ I also agree that parking in a disabled bay is bad. But many do this. Maybe on the day Jade did it, there was 10 free disabled spaces available and Jade Goody wasn't thinking or caring on that day. Many do things which they shouldn't. But if a disabled person cannot park in a disabled bay, because four lazy drivers without disabled permits, couldn't be bothered to park further away, then it is disgusting ![]() nodisharmony ![]() |

Looking within this topic, further critisism of a previous incident where Jade Goody seemed to have parked in a disabled parking bay.
Making good stories in the Newspaper's & even stories which appear on web-pages are often exaggerated. I strongly disagree with that article involving Jade Goody, which appears to myself to be separate from the topic title. I look within this topic and the words mentioned:- (Selfish), (lazy), (self centred) & (slapper) I certainly can't spot where these four words fit into Jade's persona? The (Racist) word mentioned within this topic has been covered in quite depth previously and all that has now been rubbished, especially by the CPS. So that doesn't fit in either. ______________________________________________ But, regarding the topic, (on-topic), a crash into any animal, whether a Deer or an animal of a similar size would be frightening. Jade Goody did very well considering. I certainly wouldn't blame her driving or anyone elses driving, in this example. If you have to make a lightning quick decision, then it comes down to split-second decision making and that is almost impossible to better. nodisharmony ![]() |

How do you know "Jade did well considering", she did not keep control of her vehicle and crashed it - I'd say she didn't do very well at all. As for Jades persona, she is a manipulative, vindictive racist bully - and errrrrrr thats it. |

I venture to say, "Split second decisioning".
Try to place yourself, in the position of a driver faced with an approaching Deer and having no time to react any better than Jade Goody herself. It is very easy to say that you can do better in those circumstances. "Ego" & "Full of one self", is usually what makes people come up with, "I could have done better?". This is a tragic story, which fortunately for Jade & Jack, didn't end up too badly. __________________________________________ The words:- (manipulative, vindictive racist bully) which I found within this topic??? I can't see where that relates to a "Deer" & a "Car". I am only glad that no one was hurt. I am sure that many would agree, I hope? I wouldn't like any housemate of BB or CBB to come to any harm. and anyone wishing that, or hoping that, would be very wrong. I would have thought? nodisharmony ![]() |

there wasnt much left of the sheep. and the front of my car took a pounding so bad the car was written off. The perils of the Cumbria section of the A66 But I didn't "crash", and even with no front brakes, and half an animal wrapped around my front axle , and a windshield being sprayed with blood and oil and steam - the animal went straight through the radiator, was able to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop. Two years ago I suffered a blow out - front tyre offside [driver side] doing approx 60 mph at the time, I kept control of the vehicle despite swinging across to the outside lane and clipping the barrier, I still managed to bring to car to a halt, safely on the hard shoulder. Both times - was I shaken ?, yes, I'll admit with the blow out I **** a brick, but still knew how to and was able to control a vehicle - without the time to think about it. As for your comment about "deer" and "car" in relation to the topic, I notice in the Jo O meara pics and vids thread you bring in the subject of CBB editing - going slightly off topic is OK for you then |

"Road conditions", "Lighting", "Weather", very much part of the circumstances of any collision with an Animal.
If you sneezed, just 1 second before a collision, it can alter the affects too. But, even if those set of circumstances mirrored a "certain other person", it would still have no bearing on this crash. All accident investigators would agree that each set of circumstances are different. If a driver in Glasgow hit a Horse If a driver in Hounslow hit a Bull and it was on the same day, they can't deal with both cases as the same. Every angle has to be covered. and I debate angle's in depth, as it is better to be sure than to misjudge and make errors. nodisharmony ![]() |
