i help out at a first school near me.

is there anyone else that works with children at a school or at work etc.

just thought we can talk about it.

i worked with kids and disabled people at this kids club.. and i had to keep care of these horses aswell... hard job lol

I'm not sure yet, I do really like children although I don't know if I'll take it on as a career. At one point I considered social work but now I'm not so sure. It's a good career path though, especially if you have a real interest in that area.

Most of my working life has been with young people and children. I have worked with those who have been abused, those with alcohol and drugs problems, homelessness etc... the list goes on really some young people have a multitude of issues that they need supported with.

I have also worked closely with families who are in crisis which has involved intervention to stop breakdown of the family.

I then went on to work at a secure facility for young people who are on detention training orders, basically those that are too young for prison but have certainly gained their life experiences early

Working in this field is very rewarding, but very exhausting. It is emotional, draining and sometimes you feel as if the young people are emotional vampires!!!

Good luck to those that choose to pursue a career with young people it is awesome

Hi corporal I also work with kids .I.m a special needs fostercarer who has 3 kids.I am qualified in the necessary fields and like my work.I also specialise in adhd and related conditions and developing emotional intelligence. Anyone care to chat feel free.
