I really enjoy being self employed, but I know it's not for everyone. I basically put bids together for people to win business, so I don't have to work a solid 8 hours every day. Sometimes I'll work 3 days a week, others I'll work all 7, so I like being the master of my own destiny , and having loads of time to do what I want.

It really seems lost on people that racism/sexism/homophobia are dying out. Each generation is more tolerant than the one before, and this overall sense of "them and us" that exists is straight out of the 70's.

Maybe we should campaign for racist jam jars to be reintroduced to prevent political correctness from taking over the world?!

My dad was racist, but he was a happy racist. So that's ok!! The mind baffles. It really does.

I'm not insanely busy at work, but I work for myself, so everything I do has a consequence, but I had a bad breakup that I didn't really deal with that well for a while, so I just retreated on here rather than facing the world, so I needed to change that quite urgently.

Well that thread is a rare posting spree for me these days. I know you can't change the opinion of loonies, but hopefully one of the younger people will either be lurking, or might read it and think "do you know what? I don't think using the phrase - a race directly opposed to your own, is entirely appropriate, maybe I should reexamine my use of language"

That's the dream anyway, otherwise why bother posting an opinion on anything?

Just been busy and I'm knocking this place on the head for a bit. I've neglected real life for far too long. I've just got a few hours this morning which is why I'm here, but I'll only be a rare visitor from here on in.
