You've upgraded your risk amts / winning standards quite a bit since we started talking about gambling And yeah I still don't really think about it a lot of the time but sometimes it does make me hesitant both before & while drinking. It's like worth it and not worth it at the same time for me

Just tried some blackjack for like 10-15 mins @ $25/bet (was gonna stop if I lost $100 max) and I finally ended up quitting at even. It was sooooo back and forth this time like practically win one, lose one type of streak Was between -$50 to +$25 like the ENTIRE time and somewhere around the last 8-10 or so it just kept varying between $0 & -$25 so I finally accepted the null & void blackjack session result

And I did indeed get 1st place in the $20 tournament for another NICE profit day ~$300+. Hell yeah Had a feeling I would because those $20 games ain't as hard if you manage to make it that far & I was top 2 in chips by faaaar in the F4. Such a CHILL / easy going session too so that's nice. I might try it this way more often, getting in very last minute and less games I feel less angry even when I lose with the much less time invested. Barely 3 hours & most of that time was chilling with 2-3 tournaments going

Having an odd / really quick tournament session right now. Like I started playing hella late (after 9:00) & got in about 5-6 tournaments basically all around the last minute I could get in or slightly earlier. Shortest session ever for the most part but I'm still playing one of my $20 tournaments in the final 4 rn 1st place $ is a bit under $500. Winning $170 rn which that + winning the minimum in my $100 tournament which was like $30 profit puts me at a slight profit overall today but hoping for at least a bit more here

Yup I love those because they're so quick and easy, just in & out and sometimes some really cool alternative snack/drink options that most places don't have. I can't stand the waits even pre-corona with supermarkets and shopping and stuff

Ahhhhhhh true @ maybe just spending more but still £12,000~ more would've been such a nice bonus and helped have a lot more fun times / living a bit more comfortably for a while longer.

I feel like darts is probably harder to read than team sports to begin with Although idk the team sports do have plenty of different factors and such Idk but I definitely get a decent sense of where the upsets might happen in those sports I watch a lot / enough of. Ahhh they don't even care about the jobs you apply for, they'll just ask on the first phone call when you're trying to get accepted and that's it You can even be pretty vague about it, I'm pretty sure I was. And WHAAAAT I didn't even think that was possible? Like I think that'd even be hard to do around here cause I would've had trouble even getting another 6 months so I didn't even bother (think I got my next job 3ish months after that but was lucky to be doing very well with poker/gambling at the time)

Yup at home, especially if you're around/on your bed or whatever and haven't slept for HOURS, it just becomes TOO much vs. being out & forced to stay up. NOT the energy drinks doing nothing for you I've heard that from plenty of people tho, just loses its effect after a while

Yup it's basically just to give people a little boost when they're desperate for money & stuck without a job. Like this was when I was around 21-22 when I got unemployment for a bit but I'd have been pretty screwed if I didn't have extra money saved from work/gambling at the time!

Oh damn, so different. Here you're pretty much required to go through a whole phone call process where you give them all your previous job's details/hours/rate and all that. Exception I think if it's a reoccurring thing with a job laying the person off when the work is slow but idk too much about that. Also only have to go to the building once before you get started and I think I only needed to go cause of issues getting set up since it was my first/only time Ofc tho everyone just says they're looking for a job just to get that free money

Ah I didn't think 711 would be grouped with off licenses since they're a big chain but ok yeah there's those lil random mini shops around here all over the place which is what I was thinking they were. Best spots to go to for anything, although they can still be overpriced but better than the typical supermarket etc.

Problem for me is I can never get myself to bet against the guys who have done well, like Martin Adams, Scott Mitchell etc. because I have no clue how those worse players play, I just notice they have constantly poor odds & seem to get beat a bunch Ahhh @ thinking it was a 12 hour difference Did you not even notice from how dark it was outside? Although I guess 8am & 8pm can look a bit similar sometimes around summer time Like it's still bright af after 6:30 over here now
