Btw is this universal credit literally exactly like unemployment benefits - like UK’s version of it or something - or is it just similar / something different/extra to unemployment benefits? Like if you apply for unemployment here then your pay just depends on what you were previously getting but scaled way down

Loool it’s pretty hard to follow through the entire next day of an all nighter if you’re not forced by being out & busy. Maybe old age has started setting in for me but like during college days I could go to sleep at 5:00am or later, wake up 1-3 hours later for class/work, be busy all day & then not fall asleep until the night after. I’d be dead that morning & throughout the day these days. Maybe I need those energy drinks now

Yeah when I did my unemployment I had to stop by the building too but it wasn’t bad. More of the annoying/tiresome process had to do with online & over the phone. It was bad too like 1/3 of the money I had been making or something but still all worth it for free money! You should go for it either way if you can possibly keep getting it

Yeah the off-licenses in the UK sound really good. I’m not exactly sure which stores are “off-license” here, it’s kind of a unique / not common term but I bet they’re around & I’ve been to a few. Are they just any little non-chain store?

Yup me & my family shop more at the smaller/cheaper supermarkets lol. Whole Foods is more on the higher end and also more about the vegetarian and organic options and all that so I figured you'd still shop there if it's the same there (or try to browse for any good prices at least).

Yeah America is so meat-heavy no pun intended I don't know any vegans/vegetarians well but there's still a somewhat decent amt. It's more of a thing around Cali for whatever reason from what I hear. Just that different lifestyle in general around there I guess. The main thing around here is eating "organic" food but even that's kinda rare.
