The trip may have just been announced but it will have been in the diary for a good while.
Harry would hardly walk away from his commitments to Invictus, unless the birth is actually expected on either of the two days he is away.
Baby could already be here, if so then congratulations to the happy couple.
As to keeping it private and within the family, good on them.

I'm really not liking this blame the woman for manipulating the man into marrying here, and wanting to keep the birth of their first child private......

Harry is a big boy, why do you think he shouldn't take responsibilities for his own choices?

Yeah, the anger directed at her, over everything (including things like her shutting the car door wrong..I swear I have seen pages of insults on that!) seems so disproportionate to anything I have seen before.

If she had had the baby, good for her. I doubt it though as it would have came out by now. IF they managed to keep it secret, its obviously for good reason, and its both their choice also so not sure why its only her getting the blame.

Parents should be allowed to bond with their kid in private before showing them off to anyone else, it’s their baby, not ours, this weird possessiveness we have over the royals is bizarre

and if she actually hasn't had the baby I wonder if people vilifying her will acknowledge that?

I guess it's that, you know what you're getting when you marry a royal, and she married him... it was her choice. What makes me frown is the fact that she's trying to change stuff. Thanks God she's just a minor royal. She's living a very privileged life now and that comes at a cost.

The baby was said to be due in April, well, it's May now. And I'm perfectly happy for them to keep it all to themselves, so long as I'm not expected to listen next time she's wanting attention for some cause.

Are you really saying that when you gave birth you'd want crowds of people outside the hospital awaiting your exit, press surrounding you on the way to the car taking photos etc. Really, their baby is nobody's business but Harry and Meghans.

She should announce the birth immediately so the press **** off from outside the hospital so normal folk can get on with thier lives...and no..most mothers and parents can't wait to tell everyone about thier happy news.

Oh no, she's not going to hospital... at least not the one all the other royals have been to. And she won't be posing outside with the baby either.

Nah, she will have put the rumours of her having had the baby out there herself for attention in that case.

But things do change, even the Royals, the whole thing would be extremely stagnant and archaic otherwise. Wasn't it William and Kate having a child that changed the tradition of boys first for the throne rather than first child of either sex for example, or did I imagine that?

Most parents aren't stalked by paparazzi. Of course its part and parcel of marrying Harry, that part I agree with, but that doesn't mean they have to open up every minute of their private lives to the public.

It may well be tradition for Royals to be photographed within minutes of getting their stitches but..that doesn't mean someone can't buck the trend, or even totally change tradition..I imagine now that one couple have done it, more will in future now they know its an option.

I don't really get what difference it makes between them announcing it the hour it happens, or saying a few days later 'we had X at 4.56am on 2 May, happy and healthy' or something. Fairly sure they will have told family, if its happened.

Yes... but they shouldn't change because an American actress has decided to shake things up a bit. And what's more, I think people feel very protective of Harry; I'm sure many people feel quite protective of him and he seems besotted. Which is lovely... but....

I told you... my friend Alice... she's always right.

In that case, step down from public life, stop using your royal title to raise your own profile, go and buy a house somewhere and then they won't have to stick to royal protocol. Simples!

Oh so if she were an English lords daughter who swanned around socialising on her trust fund and not working before bagging a Prince for herself, then it would be ok to look for some change? hhmm

More power to her I say

Also, who the **** is Alice? :p

Seems they can keep the titles, and still not have to stick to royal protocol :hehe:

Agree totally !! ^ I cant stand the woman from the engagement video when she was clinging onto him like a limpet ,all doe eyed looking at him ,i said to my daughter " Shes a fake as ....... " THEN came her biggest pile of BS when she said she had never heard of Harry .... I too think shes caused a major rift with William and Kate who Harry was so close to, now she driving a wedge between him and the public who love him ,and the public will never forgive or forget if this baby HAS been born a couple of weeks ago ( my guess is Easter time ) Meghan has signed her own future with the British public and the marriage will be over before the wedding cake gets mould on it

Vicky. 02-05-2019 09:41 AM

Mind, if thats true about her claiming to never have heard of Harry, thats quite ridicuous

Like you've literally made up a whole narrative about them based on absolutely nothing except what? Tabloid rumours? If you believe those then you must also believe that William is a dirty cheat, Poor Kate :'(

She FAR too important to go to the same hospital as Diana and Kate ,and doesn't believe the public should have a photo of the baby ( how long do photo shoots take? 5 minutes tops !!) the taxpayer is keeping her and this baby for the rest of their lives, so a little respect is not too much to ask for
