Football league, football league we are coming!!!!!!!

Shaun 11-04-2015 11:43 PM

was beginning to forget what a torquay win looked like

got FM15 the other day and to think that the board expected me to get promoted straight away again :inamood:

MTVN 12-04-2015 10:39 AM

Was hearing the other day that Torquay's players are only paid £375 a week on average, surprising for whats actually a pretty big club

MTVN 12-04-2015 10:39 AM

Charlie Adam has got nothing on the Beast

Shaun 12-04-2015 01:33 PM

Hmm that doesn't surprise me tbh, our chairwoman's just stood down and she was only funding the club with lottery winnings her late husband won so idk how finances are doing, but can't be great

MTVN 18-04-2015 04:13 PM

One more game away from the playoffs :worry: title race is going down to next weekend as well, what a final day of the season its gonna be

If Torquay could do us a favour and beat Macclesfield next weekend that would be lovely

Shaun 18-04-2015 04:33 PM

no promises

MTVN 25-04-2015 07:33 PM

Torquay you ****ing beauties!!!!!!!!

FOOTBALL LEAGUE, FOOTBALL LEAGUE, WE ARE COMING

Shaun 25-04-2015 07:39 PM

:joker:

I never liked Macclesfield :inamood:

MTVN 03-05-2015 10:43 PM

Farewell Sammy </3

Got dominated across two legs so no complaints about the result, its a learning curve though and we'll need to be stronger next year, was still a great experience just being in the playoffs

Shaun 15-08-2015 06:36 PM

Figured making another thread was a bit silly since this one only has two pages LOL but some amazing results from the Torquay and Forest Green massives as per

Black Dagger 15-08-2015 07:34 PM

Stockport County winning 3/3 and being top of the league :clap1:

MTVN 15-08-2015 07:41 PM

We are top of the league!!!!!!!!

Shaun 15-08-2015 07:45 PM

we aren't but 2 out of 3 ain't bad!!!!!!!

MTVN 05-09-2015 11:52 PM

8 wins out of 8, Conference record. Looks like it will just be Shaun and Locke here lamenting Torquay and Tranmere's fortunes next season while I settle into the Football League thread

Shaun 06-09-2015 12:49 AM

piss off will you

Locke. 06-09-2015 10:14 AM

Tranmere have everything at their disposal to still be playing at League 1 level yet are flopping in the Conference. Time to bring Jason Koumas back out of retirement for a second time

MTVN 10-10-2015 10:28 PM

Still top of the league!!!!!

Tranmere must be quaking in their boots at the prospect of visiting the New Lawn next Saturday

Novo 14-10-2015 06:06 PM

even though i rarely go to Chester games anymore its good to see them holding their own, league is a bit to competitive for them in their financial situation to aim for promotion yet, solid enough squad though to stay up though

Novo 17-10-2015 01:23 PM

Taylor-Fletcher has signed for Tranmere

LeatherTrumpet 17-10-2015 01:51 PM

Iv been to wembley with Tranmere, wore my Rangers hat

MTVN 17-10-2015 10:11 PM

Tranmere scum

MTVN 17-10-2015 10:12 PM

Seriously don't think I've ever seen a worse performance from FGR than that first half

King Gizzard 18-10-2015 12:39 AM

Terrible ey

Locke. 18-10-2015 12:41 AM

Gary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Locke. 18-10-2015 12:41 AM

Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Locke. 18-10-2015 12:41 AM

Fletcher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Novo 24-10-2015 12:07 PM

fc United v Sporting Khalsa expected to get 2,000 when Sporting Khalsa's attendance is usually around 50, the magic of the fa cup

Novo 24-10-2015 03:10 PM

Denver 20-02-2016 07:26 PM

WTAF has happened to Torquay?

Shaun 21-02-2016 01:24 AM

A nice away win today, the escape is on

alex_front2 21-02-2016 09:38 AM

Would hate hate hate to see Salford City win Evo Stick Northern Premier. Would love to see Barwell or Workington win but would settle for the probably Blythe Spartans triumph if it means the smug class of '92 (Giggs, Neville, Scholars, Butt et al) are stopped in their tracks from turning Salford City into Man U lite.

Really want Histon to survive the Southern League Premier

Shocked that Cheltenham have got pole position over Forest Green in National League.

Interesting article in FourFourTwo mag (Pep on cover) about how alot of teams in Northern League have no interest in gaining promotion as its currently convenient for players to play games against local opposition and can be home in time for tea!

Cheltenham have got a good squad and a good manager although they have adjusted to the league surprisingly well. It's normally very hard for league clubs to bounce straight back but looks like Cheltenham will follow Bristol Rovers in doing it first time of asking. Quite annoying that in any other league coming second would ensure automatic promotion but not in the Conference. The way things are going both Cheltenham and FGR will have more points than are normally needed to win the league and I expect they'll be well clear of whoever comes third.

Locke. 21-02-2016 10:02 AM

Let's not forget that Tranmere are going to be bouncing straight back as well

MTVN 21-02-2016 10:09 AM

Couldn't even hold Cheltenham to a draw at home you useless bastards

Yes, I underestimated Cheltenham. Really thought FG R would easily win title like Bayern or PSG with no competition. I really rate midfielder Jack Munns he might not have stature (neither does Messi) but he has power and great vision. He's definitely one of those non League players that could walk into a weak EPL squad like WBA, Sunderland or AVFC. Why don't the injury hit big clubs go for him or even a championship side? So many talented players in non League who with a bit of TLC and nurturing could play top level football. Bromley's Moses Emmanuel and Grimsby's Bogle are other non League players who IMHO are better than anything AVFC have to offer.

Some EPL clubs missed a trick in January transfer window. These guys would contribute more than Radamel Falcao or Benteke who are just burning up cash on wages that could have gone on bringing in cheaper lower League players. Too much snobbiness especially in these lower league bargain bucket Vardy/Mahrez/ Kante times

Dover going well, too. Agree, I hate it when two teams do well and there is only 1 automatic place. Imho a "Play off place" should be for #3 place downwards. Getting back into football league is a big deal, not just a lottery.

I also feel bad for Hyde. Ok they were sh*te and deserved to be relegated but they could be relegated again. Sad times.:puzzled::shrug::facepalm::o:umm2::umm2:
:crazy::bawling::bawling:

Denver 21-02-2016 10:12 AM

I'd bet on Lincoln making their long awaited football league return
