Has anyone else heard this rumour? Can't possibly be true can it?

I know you can't in nightclubs but pubs should be fair enough

I haven't heard this, but I very much doubt it's true.

However, the landlord is allowed to decide what happens in their pub, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some arsey bastard that was opposed to it and decided to ban it and maybe everyone just took it as being the general rule?

I remember when I was living in East London and the council banned the Union Jack flags being displayed in the market as it could be seen as "offensive"

These rumours are always spread around world cups and such, It's just a bunch of racists trying to drum up hate.

People make pages and groups just to get loads of people to join, it's about as truthful and informative as reading tea leaves for news.

How many groups have said that Facebook will eventually charge for it's services? It's just attention hungry people manipulating the brainless masses into joining.

Do these politically correct arsewipes even realise how big a platform they are giving to prejudice scum, BNP, skinheads and the like everytime they pass riddiculous rules like this?

Either way I doubt it will become a reality.

For the record Novo, InOne et al - altho I'm an awful jock, I have no problems with English people wearing their colours in Scottish pubs. During the Euro Championships in 96 we had exactly one Englishman in white among 100 Scots - we bought him a drink when Gazza scored and vowed to murder McAllister!

In a snooker club in the middle of nowhere in Scotland, I was told to remove my Rhein Fire top (a German team playing American Football only on the Continent by this time). I had to ask "are you scared some Frankfurt Galexy fans come in and get offended?????" PC gone mad.

Sure - I don't think general ban, InOne just meant some over-sensitive.

In Scotland it is like this because Rangers/Celtic - not allowed to wear soccer tops in bars. Seems silly - but if read above, I'd be worried to wear an Argentina top as a Scot because I hope they will put you out.
