Possible phone scam or not?
Okay so at 8:15 this morning my house phone rang and an Indian woman (very strong accent) told me that my computer is infected and DEMANDED that I turn on my computer and follow her instructions. She stated that they had received "error reports" or something and she even knew my FULL name.
Anyway I thought something wasn't quite right so I told her that my computer was at a relatives as I'd left it there by accident, that old chestnut, to which she reacted quite aggressively and demanded that I use another computer. "WHY IS IT NOT AT HOME?! DO YOU NOT HAVE A DESKTOP?! ANOTHER LAPTOP?!". She then said she's calling back tomorrow. Has anyone else had this? Surely error reports need to be sent by me from the computer right? She did say what her company/organization was called but I could barely understand her accent. |

Just order a Kebab or an Indian Takeaway next time the bastard rings, it'll mess with her.
