Next Weeks Theme...

Quote:

The X Factor will have a 'Guilty pleasures theme for next week's live show.

The Xtra Factor hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs revealed the theme on tonight's edition of the ITV2 spinoff show.

The theme means that the remaining six acts - Rylan Clark, Jahmene Douglas, James Arthur, Ella Henderson, Christopher Maloney and Union J - will have the opportunity to sing songs by their own guilty pleasures.

'Guilty Pleasures' is a theme that has been well used by the ITV1 show, and was most recently featured on last year's series. Winners Little Mix performed a mash-up of Justin Bieber's 'Baby' and Diana Ross and The Supremes hit 'Where Did Our Love Go'.

It was also revealed that Olly Murs and Alicia Keys will be on next weekend's live show. Murs will perform his new single 'Troublemaker', while Keys is expected to sing her new track 'Girl On Fire'.

District3 became the latest act to be eliminated from the show after falling into the bottom two alongside Union J this evening.
Why even bother with themes? They may aswell just have sing whatever the **** you want every week :bored:

Tbf it can be restrictive if the judges don't cheat like they shouldn't give acts Rock songs as Guilty Pleasures.

King Gizzard 11-11-2012 10:46 PM

basically shouldn't have themes

I've liked this year's themes. Broad enough to allow them to sing pretty much whatever they want (which is better really).

I think it'd be a bit weird if there were no themes so it's better that there's broad ones which allows them to sing whatever without actually saying that.
