CBB11 joint most watched C5 series

2.81m official average, same as C5's first series CBB8, which launched to a much larger 5.27m, inflating it's figure. Not including launches, CBB11 beat CBB8 by 70,000 (2.77m to 2.70m).

How CBB10 got more viewers than BB13 is beyond me. :bored: This country is one ****ed up place.

Saph 04-02-2013 08:10 PM

This is the first series I didnt watch all the episodes, but weirdly its the first series where people I know outside of tibb have been watching.

CBB10 > CBB9 > CBB11 > BB13 >>>>> CBB8 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BB12

Jarrod 04-02-2013 08:10 PM

At least there is still a strong viewing for CBB. I mean - some highlights shows over 3 Million  And it beat BB10 again.

You complain about 5's tacky editing, yet you love CBB8?

Black Dagger 04-02-2013 08:39 PM

This isn't really a good thing.

The cretinous producers clearly want to axe BB and just jizz over the thought of 2 CBB's a year... them seeing that the normal series is a flop while the CBB series is excelling, just gives them an excuse.

Jake. 04-02-2013 08:45 PM

They won't be axing BB anytime soon... it's not as if they can have 3 CBB's a year, which is why BB fills the purpose of a series running through the summer. It might not rate as well as CBB, but it sees them through

I love CBB8 because it was the last series we've had that felt like an event, everyone watched it and the general fresh feeling of it was so different.

Don't get me wrong, if it had of been a full 13 week series and they still used that editing - I'd kill them.

Not a hard thing to do though let's be fair

Agreed, it certainly felt different, but I'm glad that it's been toned down...

reece(: 04-02-2013 09:18 PM

CBB8 was even worse than CBB10 and that's saying something.

Jake. 04-02-2013 09:19 PM

If I was to put them in order of my favourite to least:

BB13 > CBB9 > CBB11 > CBB10 > BB12 > CBB8

Jarrod 04-02-2013 09:20 PM

CBB10 was like... what? i mean - what was that mess of a series?

Jake. 04-02-2013 09:31 PM

CBB10 wasn't TOO bad imo, Jasmine held the first week together, then Julie had to take over... still could have been far better

daniel-lewis-1985 04-02-2013 11:31 PM

CBB10 had alot more controvercy/arguments than CBB11 and is very underrated imo.

Chanel 5 need to stop chucking series together coz it dont work.

A BB/CBB series should be completely individual and not overlap or steal thunder from any other series imo.

CBB10's ratings showed that there is no need for an extra CBB in the summer.

Scrap it.

Someone suggested on DS moving BB back into it's hey day C4 slot of late May and launching CBB 4 weeks after it finishes, in the last week of August, separating them by a month and giving viewers a break between the two whilst keeping the winter CBB it's usual few months distance from both. Might be worth trying.

JohnnyBB 05-02-2013 02:05 PM

its abit obvious now they need to put some effort into the summer series they could get 2.1m this year with a good cast an a good starting twist.

SSL2012 05-02-2013 03:26 PM

Tbh what would help boost not just normal bb but the share for the evening, would be to get shows like red dwarf. Very popular amongst the young audience and would probably average around 2mil. Im not a fan but just saw an article on how it's rated on Dave since it launched.

Baffled c4 or 5 didnt go in for it.
