Will it hit your area or will it be down the Hill.

"A 150-foot (45-metre)-wide asteroid will come remarkably close to Earth next week, even closer than high-flying communication and weather satellites. It will be the nearest known flyby for an object of this size. But don't worry. Scientists promise Asteroid 2012 DA14 will be at least 17,100 miles (27,518 kilometres) away when it zips past next Friday."

eh, that wouldn't be big enough to be apocalyptic anyway would it?

Shaun 09-02-2013 05:37 PM

would probably put a hefty hole in a town I imagine.

Ramsay 09-02-2013 05:37 PM

that killed off all the Dinosaurs

AnnieK 09-02-2013 05:42 PM

You are Wrong
as its such a High Speed
Instant Death in a second

Glenn. 09-02-2013 05:49 PM

Its the speed of the thing that would cause the damage. I think the news said it was traveling at about 18,000 mph.

MTVN 09-02-2013 05:55 PM

Is that thing about the dinosaurs actually true :suspect:

Novo 09-02-2013 05:58 PM

think i remember it on " Walking With Dinosaurs " actually

Glenn. 09-02-2013 06:01 PM

I remember watching something on the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs.

Apparently the moment of impact with the earth, only 1% of the asteroid was under the atmosphere.

Glenn. 09-02-2013 06:01 PM

I think :suspect:

Tom4784 09-02-2013 06:02 PM

We could always use Xtina to block it I guess.

'The asteroid's closest approach will be at 7.24pm on 15 February, meaning that those gazing keenly at the dark skies of eastern Europe, Asia and Australia will stand the best chance of seeing it through telescopes or binoculars'

Glenn. 09-02-2013 06:13 PM

Its closer than the moon

45 Metres? No way

Patrick 09-02-2013 06:50 PM

Also, It wasn't the inital impact of the asteroid that wiped out the Dinosaurs  They died out over a period of time - due to the asteroid killing off plants and other times of vegetation for them to survive.

think the Asteroid is just one of many theories that Scientists think wiped out the Dinosaurs though, i'm sure another one was something about Volcanic Ash in the Atmosphere

But they know it started the Darkness
it amounted to thousands of Nukes going off.

No New Plants could grow

arista 15-02-2013 01:03 PM

Around 7PM tonight

My bunker is ready.

Chewy could be in the middle of Corrie
if it changes course and hits the Earth
