Ben Frow hints Summer CBB may be cancelled?

Ben Frow "wary of becoming reliant on Big Brother." Aware of its importance but wants to keep exploring further avenues #TVControllers

Sounds like he wants to keep BB but reduce the run. Summer CBB is most likely to go?

Samm 23-08-2013 05:04 PM

I am sure this will be the last summer BB

You can't base a tv channel on one programme.

Think he just means not using BB's success to allow them to slack elsewhere. Which is sensible, look at the state axing BB left C4 in.

zakman440 23-08-2013 05:25 PM

I hope he reduces the celebrity series to just one, preferably just one winter CBB.

What a spoilsport.

I'm sorry where did you get this title from that tweet? Rather misleading...

daniel-lewis-1985 23-08-2013 07:21 PM

How does that even mean hes having doubts about summer CBB?

I dislike we have 2 CBB' a year but that tweet says nothing about it being in danger or him wanting it gone does it?

It won't be gone, Ben Frow also commented he's all about share and being seen as a success and not a failure.

I highly doubt a summer CBB replacement will attract a peak audience of over 3million on the launch show, and have a series average of around 2.6million officially. (i'm presuming)

I agree with the poster above, Ben Frow basically doesn't want C5 to become overly reliant on it, as even now C4 are still feeling the effect's of BB's exit 3 years on.

If he want's to help raise BB's rating's even more, i'd have a polite word with Richard Desmond to ease up his exlusive rights to all things BB in his news rags, to allow other media outlets to give it plenty of press. The sun and even the mirror still seem keen on the show.

I'd then advise him to charge more for advertising slots etc to recoup the loss of money.
