k I'm not sure if anyone watched Educating Yorkshire but having just watched the last episode after hearing everyone rave about it I think this needs to be shared on here
The episode focused around a Y11 student called Musharaf, who has a severe stammer and struggles to overcome it in the lead up to his English speaking exam. This video is him practicing with his teacher and is truly inspiring
At 2:48 the video switches to a clip from the end of Y11 assembly which is one of the most moving things I've seen on TV for a long time...

..that's beautiful, Jack....I've never watched Educating Yorkshire, but feel as though I should have, I'm just rubbish at catching TV programmes generally...working with children similar to him, myself (younger ones..) who have different difficulties in communicating and watching them 'grow' as their confidence builds, is not only seeing how it changes their lives but how much it touches your own as well and your whole outlook on life as everyday you are filled with inspiration from these little people and positivity becomes natural...

..yeah, I agree smudgie, in general there is so much negativity of different things which takes priority and is highlighted in the media but there are some amazing and inspirational teaching staff out there and they are very far from being rare as well...in my experience it's actually the 'bad ones' which are rare, but of course as with any profession, you do get them....
