I had a tiny bit respect for Luisa when she was on The Apprentice

Not much respect - don't go overboard, but I was led to believe she was a serious business woman.

Now, I see her as a shallow, self-loving, arrogant, vulgar, childissh bore.

I don't know how successful her businesses are, but seriously if she is running them then she must be getting a lot of help. Or can I say this: maybe she is offering extra services to win contracts.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Now it looks like she is vying for TV work when she gets out, maybe a TV presenter.

All I know is I will be avoiding this dreadful woman like the plague when she gets out.

bez87 24-01-2014 11:15 AM

Hmmmm you make a good point i mean the only reason she went on the apprentice was for fame, because the fact is, if she was a proper business woman she wouldn't do a show like big brother and i mean, when did we start calling everyone a celeb lol, surely being on the apprentice doesn't make you a celebrity :S Once opon a time it ment something to be a celeb not anymore any tom dick and harry can be one now it seems

jessicadanielle 24-01-2014 11:16 AM

I agree, though I thought she was bloody ruthless on the Apprentice I respected that she had become a serious business woman rather than depending on her looks to get places in life...

..then I saw her on the cover of Nuts (or some other lads mag) after the show and was proven wrong! :joker: Seems like, as you say, the Apprentice was just another way for her to become a TV personality of some sort.

I love it....

I never liked Luisa even on the apprentice...she was arrogant and bossy and very condescending...however she has qualities of a good business woman as she is fearless and determined.
Having shown us the vile qualities that she has I just hope any prospective business acquaintance steers well clear of her....because it's Louisa's way or NO way.

Pincho Paxton 24-01-2014 01:14 PM

Can't even remember what Luisa did on the Apprentice.

Vanessa 24-01-2014 01:16 PM

She's an attention seeker.

Oh of course. She couldn't possibly be successful through hard work. She must be using her body.

I thought it was so Luisa to say the Hm['s have delusions of Grandeur in the diary room last night. Its great that she's confident woman but her confidence is bordering on delusion. Jim, Lee, Linda, Dappy, Lionel have at some point been at the very top of their professions but the bird who came 2nd in the apprentice and isn't even all that successful in her business ventures thinks she can call them deluded.

Luisa is a great reality TV contestants and I'm sure we'll see more of her over the years but what an attitude. Someone needs to bring her down a peg or two.

She was already a business woman when she went on The Apprentice and she took part to try to get funding for another business. Since then she has secured the funding from elsewhere and she has set up the business - Baker's Toolkit - you'll find it if you google the name. She has also kept a high profile in the gossip columns, and now is on CBB. All very good for business given that she's not working in a church. Her previous business is still going strong: google Dixie's Cupcakery to see the website.

I don't know about you, but I have achieved nothing since she was on the Apprentice. I'm still plugging away slowly towards my goals.

her drony voice grates like dragging a sack full of porcupines down a gravel drive

James 24-01-2014 01:47 PM

To be honest it is a while since I watched it but The Apprentice is just a game-show (like Celeb BB) really. It isn't a serious business show. I'd think most people who go on it these days do it for the fame and possible media career.

That's true. Who are you supporting, James? :)

:S no she went on the apprentice to become famous, if she didn't want to be famous she wouldn't be on CBB :S technical she isn't a celebrity

The Apprentice has big viewing figures, so she is a celebrity.

They have changed the format to cut out the fame seekers. The contestants now compete for funding and mentoring in entrepreneurial ventures. The girl who beat Luisa, Dr. Leah Totten, has just opened her botox clinic; the previous winner, Ricky Martin, has set up Hyper Recruitment Agency and the one before that was an inventor, Tom Pellereau, who has since had several gadgets marketed, and is still developing products.

If she only wanted the fame, then she wouldn't have bothered to get the funding from elsewhere to set up her other business. She didn't lose the Apprentice because her business plan wasn't good or her existing businesses weren't performing well. She only lost because the other finalist was a doctor who wanted to set up botox clinics, and Alan Sugar went with the idea which would pull the money in faster.

Maybe Luisa wants the fame too. :)

I think its obvious she does.

Jordan. 24-01-2014 02:11 PM

What does her behaviour in BB have to do with how well she runs her business? It's two completly different environments.

She's definitely not boring. Imagine a house of just Linda, Dappy, Lee, Sam, Ollie and Casey. She's been pure entertainment rather than silly showmances, puppy love or pure venom.

I think people take Luisa too seriously, half the time she's just taking the piss.

Jake. 24-01-2014 05:06 PM

The word bore and Luisa shouldn't go in the same sentence. Disliking somebody doesn't make them boring.

Her campaign speech was more entertaining than anyone else's and also gave an insight into her life as a hard-working single mum. I'd felt disappointed that Jim hadn't introduced any humour into his presentation, and Luisa delivered what I'd like to have seen from Jim. Like Jordan, I don't see what her behaviour on the show has to do with her business ability.

As for this choice comment:

Quote:

maybe she is offering extra services to win contracts

... in my opinion, it doesn't merit a response. In the end, she's the one with two or three businesses and we're the ones sitting discussing her on a forum.

smeagol 24-01-2014 07:02 PM

she has her good points its just a shame about the rest of her.

Yes... Bakers Toolkit. No apostrophe, strangely. In fact, go and look at the website and count the grammatical and punctuation errors on it. And while you're doing it, remember that this "business woman" probably paid someone quite a lot of cash to design it, but didn't have the skills to check it was right. I guess some people are going to say it doesn't matter... but it does. At least the Dixies website is a better... although you don't have to be very "corporate" to realise that 'cupcakes' is an overcrowded market.

And she probably wouldn't be working in a church as she's Jewish.
