A MAN dubbed Britain’s most feckless father was approached to star on Celebrity Big Brother months before he murdered a dad of four.
Jamie Cumming, who has reportedly fathered 17 children by 15 mothers, was jailed for at least 17 years last year for stabbing James Getty to death outside The Maltman pub in Dundee.

Yesterday, it emerged TV production company Endemol, who make the Channel 5 show, had approached Cumming to appear in the 10th series.
It started in August 2012 – just weeks after he killed 29-year-old James.
Producers wrote to the 37-year-old after he hit the headlines for his bed-hopping antics. It’s understood he didn’t respond.
If he had become a housemate, he would have appeared alongside EastEnders actor Martin Kemp, comedian Julian Clary and TV presenter and Record agony aunt Coleen Nolan.
During his trial, Cumming tried to blame another man for the stabbing. Yesterday, his solicitor Kris Gilmartin said: “He maintains his innocence and we are preparing an appeal.”
A Channel 5 spokesman said: “We never comment on individuals who may or may not have been approached to be housemates.”
