Big Brother outfits to go up for auction!

Quote:

A SELECTION of outfits that featured in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother are being put up for sale at a South Debryshire auction house to raise money for charity.
Hansons Auctioneers revealed that risqué leather outfits donned by Lionel Blair and Apprentice star Luisa Zissman will be up for grabs as part of an effort to boost the coffers of the Everyman campaign, run by the Institute of Cancer Research.
The auction, which will take place at its base in Heage Lane, Etwall this weekend, will support the cause after manager Charles Hanson survived his own battle with testicular cancer.
Mr Hanson said: “It was something of a surprise though when Hansons Auctioneers were chosen to sell a collection of particularly specialist pvc clothing.”
Hansons were contacted by the clothing manufacturer who had supplied Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother show with various items for celebrity contestants to wear in an Over 18 episode shown earlier this year.
Far removed from the textiles Hansons generally handle, the collection includes, among other pieces, a pvc bow tie and a corset dress.
Celebrity Big Brother, won by comedian Jim Davidson, asked a selection of its stars, Ollie Locke and Lionel Blair among them, to don this quirky apparel whilst attending an Over 18’s evening, which involved several of them pole dancing.
Mr Hanson added: “Seen as slightly shocking by most viewers, I am unable to pass comment on the antics and frivolities in the Celebrity Big Brother house that evening however, as a firm, Hansons are pleased to offer these items for auction, since all monies raised will be going to support the Everyman campaign with Hansons doubling up the hammer price on the day.
“Having discovered I had testicular cancer 18 months ago, at a relatively young age, I feel it is vital everyone is aware of the importance of self checking and early diagnosis, in the hope that this leads to positive treatment results for those affected.”
