You were probably brought up as Church of England, which is a sub-brand of Christianity, as is Catholicism.

"Christianity" is not a religion as such, it us an umbrella term covering a number of religions.

Christianity is an umbrella term, lots of different denominations identify as Christian but disagree over all sorts of things within that; practices, interpretation, theology etc. Catholicism is the biggest Christian church and one of the oldest if not the oldest.

It is a christian religion overall. But the wife who is a christian says there is a big difference.

Quite a few religions are Christians including Catholics and Protestants

I was made to go to a Catholic church when staying at my dads and stepmums on weekends coz shes catholic and their services were far different to the Christian church I normally went to.

Firstly being they all seemed like ****ing zombies.

It was not just a "Christian" church, I can assure you of that.

It was some different brand of Christianity from Catholic.

Catholics believe in the virgin Mary. The rest don't revere that.
