First medals of the games will be awarded in the Triathlon tomorrow and there is obviously no Gomez in the Mens so one of the Brownlee brothers should get Gold and Stimpson probably has the best chance for Gold in the Womens as well

Headie 23-07-2014 03:49 PM

Athletics starts on Sunday :worship:

Jay. 23-07-2014 03:55 PM

I'm expecting this to be as good as the Olympics, please.

Jack_ 23-07-2014 03:56 PM

Looking forward to the swimming tomorrow :amazed: Clare, Mark, Ian and the team reunited

Should be Siobhan Marie O'Connor's breakout Games in swimming which will get people hyping her for Rio

Jack_ 23-07-2014 04:12 PM

Michael Jamieson chasing a world record in the 200m breaststroke for the Scots as well, hope he can pull it off

not sure if Thorpe is working for the BBC for the commonwealths, think he signed a deal to work on Aussie TV for it

Jack_ 23-07-2014 04:29 PM

Ah that'd be a shame, though he is listed as being on the team on the right in the BBC press pack

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/med...cwg/television

And Mark tagged him in a tweet this morning

Hopefully he's juggling both

Headie 23-07-2014 04:34 PM

I hope the Athletics stadium is filled up... there were a lot of empty seats during the Glasgow Grand Prix a few weeks ago.

Jack_ 23-07-2014 04:38 PM

I would be surprised and disappointed if it isn't, I expect most of the venues to be full off the back of those who didn't get to go to London

Maybe he's doing the morning sessions for Bbc and the afternoon/evening sessions for Channel 10 in Australia or vice versa, either way hopefully he is on the team

Won't be as good as the Olympics anyway, but it isn't trying to be, there was something a bit mesmerising about cheering on people in the lesser publisiced sports, getting emotional over dancing horses >>>> and canoeing or taekwondo, but I am excited nonetheless for the Commonwealths. Hopefully Alistair or Johnny provide us with our first gold medal of the games.

Novo 23-07-2014 05:39 PM

The Commonwealths is more like the friendly games, people still care about winning but its traditional and about the message of human rights and unity but after the Olympics there seems to be more of a competitive edge to it this year more so then Manchester, if we get ****ing boo'd tonight though at that ****hole ground then there will be no mercy :idc:

Firewire 23-07-2014 07:03 PM

Can't wait for everyone to see Glasgow in all its glory

Marc 23-07-2014 07:14 PM

Jack_ 23-07-2014 07:26 PM

Eddie Butler narrated VT's <3333

Hope we get a few of them on the BBC's coverage this year. His London round up was amazing

Novo 23-07-2014 07:49 PM

Shaun 23-07-2014 08:00 PM

Shaun 23-07-2014 08:04 PM

andybigbro 23-07-2014 08:06 PM
