The sympathy vote

So here we go again. Sentimental people supporting an inoffensive, non-threatening, vulnerable, and frankly, boring person. I understand all of the others have their flaws, but settling on this guy as a potential winner really is beyond me.

andybigbro 24-07-2014 12:17 PM

I really don't think he is a potential winner. I think it's out of Chris and Mark.

A two horse race.

chuff me dizzy 24-07-2014 12:19 PM

Christopher is being treat awfully by Mark, i wish he would see it and walk away from him ,Marks using him as a sure vote to stay ,and has no loyalty to Christopher

Tip 24-07-2014 12:19 PM

Yeah, it's strange how people want those that are nice to be rewarded, and those that are not nice (but maybe more entertaining) to get their comeuppance.

Nice is such an insipid word. It sums Christopher up.

Vanessa 24-07-2014 12:22 PM

I like him. I think he's sweet. :p

Tip 24-07-2014 12:23 PM

It says a lot when people are negative about "nice".

Let's reward "disgusting" because at least it's not insipid?

It's all about the entertainment!

It's not a choice between the two. No doubt Helen is disgusting but most of the others have admirable traits.

Christopher on the other hand really does appeal to a particular kind of sentimental viewer

Tip 24-07-2014 12:31 PM

Christopher has admirable traits too probably.

It may not be sentimentality behind the fact that some people like how he is - in fact it's curious that you would think it is all down to sentimentality.

There's posts about him on forums that are all about him being a punching bag, always being left out, always being picked on etc.

The whole thing seems to be one big "Awww but he's so sweet"

Tip 24-07-2014 12:34 PM

Ah I get you now

Well I don't pay too much attention to him, but he does come across as reasonably intelligent, kind and considerate.

I hadn't read the posts you are talking about , but I can see where you're coming from now.

Mark...??????......He has as much a chance of winning this show as Leeds have of getting promoted to the premiership this year.

i hope you're right. he's so self centered!

rocket 24-07-2014 12:37 PM

Well I like Christopher...and I really hope he wins...
I don't think aggressive nasty people should win...
Let's face it Chris hasn't exactly been that good to watch, in fact I think he has been more boring than Christopher... At least Christopher speaks up for people, he was the first to have a go at Pauline..

Ashleigh would make a better winner than both Chris's

Same here, don't get me wrong his not my worst in there but after Sam winning last year I think that we should have a better winner this year and Christopher will only be marginally better imo.

Also if he won people wouldn't even remember him from this series as all the talking points in this series have been Helen, Ash, Ashleigh, Biannca, Toya, Pauline, Steven, and to a lesser extent even Danielle.

Better Christopher than Mark. Mark is two faced person.

rusticgal 24-07-2014 04:12 PM

He is harmless...but not a worthy winner.
