Sim Brother 2014
 

I know these things are generally ill-regarded, but hear me out, I've put a fair bit of effort into this :P

I'm running a series of Sim Brother (my second, after a ****ty 2008 one), using the Sims 2. The overall gameplay is based on the French series Secret Story, with each of the ten housemates having a secret.

It starts on September 5th and runs for 6 weeks. The first two weeks are already "pre-recorded" because there's no public vote until the second eviction. This is certainly not something that will end up abandoned after a week, I'll actually be paying for a .co.uk domain for this if that gives you any idea of the 99p's worth of commitment I'm giving this. It is however, entirely possible, that there may be delays of one or two days, if I'm particularly busy with school stuff.

So there we have it! I appreciate this won't be to everyone's liking, but it would mean a lot to me if you would follow the series. I'll be back in a couple of days with the URL when the domain is sorted.

Anyone have any comments on the house/eye? I put a fair bit of work into this guys, and I know it's not started but I'd love some feedback. :)

there hasent been enought "Good Looking" sims big brothers, i cant wait to watch this one!

I like the eye and the title sequence a lot.

My only complaint about the house is that I really don't like the garden. I just think the pool is way too big, there are too many identical sun loungers and there should be a big open space of grass. I like the rest of the house, though.

The House is good, it's just too much of a copy of Secret Story's house.

Thanks guys! I know its a copy of Secret Story but I really like it plus cut me some slack, it was difficult to do. :P

Can you give me some tips on making a BB house on sims 2/3?

You can't see this on the photos, but the exterior of the house is based on the BB6 - BB9 style compound, with a round stage (actually hexagonal but I won't tell if you don't), a runway with security fencing and big plasma screens, one mounted to a large wall, and one on either side of the doors. I built the actual compound first, then constructed the house within. Look at some modern designs and architectural floorplans, and keep an eye out for custom content based on real modern objects. I don't know what The Sims 3 equivalent is, but to get two way mirrors, use any window you like and use a combination of moveobjects on and boolprop snapobjectstogrid false to use mirrors to act as camera runs. Remember to take camera runs into account for an added sense of realism by doubling up the walls. Download some security fencing (available as CC for both games) and surround the compound with it. Take lighting into account or everything will look bleached or underlit. Keep the doors locked for all sims to avoid them walking out.

I designed the logo about the time that logo was out (this project has been YEARS in the making, I remember showing the garden to a cousin I haven't seen since 2012) so it was probably a little bit of a rip off. :hehe:

When i go to the website.. It just says the name at the top next to the 123.reg logo and loads of ads

Click F5, it refreshes the website on your laptop and clears any previous visits.
