Joan Rivers 'rushed to hospital in critical condition'

Actress and comedian Joan Rivers has been rushed to hospital after she stopped breathing during throat surgery, NBC News reports.

The 81-year-old is said to be in "a critical condition" in Mount Sinai hospital in New York.

She stopped breathing during a procedure at Yorkville Endoscopy, sources told NBC.

Rivers found fame in 1968 when she appeared on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson.

She has gone on to become an award-winning talk show host, actress and author.

Yeah, a bit confusing.
Looks like she was at an ENT hospital and then rushed to a General.

Edit. I do hope she is ok.

Joan is now on Life Support.

She went in for a Vocal Op
but then went into a HeartAttack
now in a coma state on Life Support machine.
