I really want to watch a program about travel with the seasoned traveler and well-informed (cough) information about the history and politics of the region.

You can't replace Karl Pilkington's Idiot Abroad. It's a waste of time trying. It's not that hard to come up with a new idea for George... too late though!!! Now he's doing waste of TV time abroad.
