Big Brother scouting in DUBLIN!?
So Big Brother scouters are supposedly in Dublin this week looking for housemates.. but am I the only one who finds this rather odd. Particularly due to the fact that in Ireland you cannot watch the show on Channel 5, MTV, or any other Viacom owned channels? So surely the demand to be on the show or even watch the show is pretty poor?

Dublin isnt in britain so its a bit weird IMO

Fxxx me...!!

Scouts found some rubbish housemates last year. Use real people.

It's pretty easy to watch C5 in Ireland
|
They always have Irish housemates and if you have sky you get Channel 5. Its still covered by the papers, radio and that here.

But yeah, I wish they wouldn't bloody scout anywhere, just do auditions and pick normal people :fist: |
I don't have sky subscription anymore but still have a sky box and can watch all the "Free to Air" channels like BBC, Channel 4 etc.
On your sky box you can tune in channel 5, and 5* and the the plus one channels and save them in the "Other Channels" section on your sky menu. (The other channels option is found when you click 'Services' button on your remote.) I just can't pause, rewind or record any of these channels though, but I use a youtube channel that uploads all episodes of Big Brother, BOTS, and Live feed if I want to rewatch anything. I found the codes for the free to air channels online. |
Well it used to be a shared UK & IRELAND programme but since about 2010 it's now just UK. Viacom seem to be doing good stuff lately they might air it in Ireland somehow in the summer.

Wasn't everybody besides Jale, Chris, Matthew and Christopher scouted in BB15?
|
Here for Queen Hazel II :clap1:

Yeah, as another poster said, on C4 it was Big Brother UK and Ireland, but afaik its just Big Brother UK now, which is why, I imagine, MTV don't air it (properly) in ROI, and TV3 were refused the rights to show it.
Since Viacom own it now, and they have a few channels available in Ireland, I'd imagine if they renew it they'll buy the Irish rights too. I'd imagine it would be quite cheap, considering its doubtful any Irish channel will create an Irish Big Brother. |
They barely even scout Belfast ffs.

How can you find out where they are scouting?

Well it looks like BB will be another half arsed talent show again. They enter the house, start singing, playing up to cameras, trying to get noticed.
