One of the killers preparing for Britain’s first same sex marriage in jail is serving life for battering a homosexual to death and the other for strangling a male lover.

Psychopath Mikhail Ivan Gallatinov, 40, will next month tie the knot with gay-bashing killer Marc Goodwin, 31.

The pair, who met inside, have been given permission to wed at Full Sutton Prison, East Yorks.

But justice chiefs have said they will not share a cell *afterwards and the ceremony will not be funded by taxpayers.

A notice of their marriage was posted at the register office in nearby Beverley.

Convicted paedophile *Gallatinov was 23, when he was jailed in 1997 for *throttling Adrian Kaminsky, 28.

Judge Rhys Davies QC branded the murder “a cold-blooded, well planned, callous, chilling and apparently motiveless killing”.

Do you think people in the same prison should be allowed to get married?

Niamh. 20-02-2015 11:21 AM

I don't think people in prison should be allowed to marry full stop

smudgie 20-02-2015 11:25 AM

No problem with people getting married in prison. Gay or otherwise.

These two sound well suited, with a bit of luck one of them will polish the other one off, saving us taxpayers a few bob.

I think going to prison and the punishment being that you lose your liberty and right to do the things others do as to society, should mean you canot marry in prison.
Who are the people paying for this marriage,if not themselves then no way should it be appropriate, sorry.

I don't think people should be allowed to get married in prison fullstop tbh. Either wait until you get out, or if you aren't getting out...tough ****.

Lostie! 20-02-2015 03:59 PM

Why should a pair of evil psychopaths be granted the right to get married? How ridiculous.

LeatherTrumpet 20-02-2015 04:02 PM

can you imagine them opening all their presents

"oh god Bill, another shank!"

"ok Trevor put it over their with all the rest"

They don't deserve jack. There's no need for marriage. They're there to pay off their debt to society.

Mystic Mock 20-02-2015 09:28 PM

Be careful if you have "Tomato Ketchup" at their Wedding guys and gals.:joker:

well every jail wing, needs a queen,

Kizzy 26-02-2015 09:47 PM

I don't agree in principle, however if things like this help to create a more positive atmosphere, then that could be beneficial for the smooth running of the prisons and reduce violent incidents?

Well, you kind of just said it all there really. I see both sides of the argument but I don't think we should ban them from getting married, leave it to them.

Livia 26-02-2015 10:12 PM

No one should be able to get married in prison, gay or straight. They've committed a crime and been found guilty, I see no reason they should be granted any privileges.

Toy Soldier 27-02-2015 10:08 PM

Legally married? No, it sounds like it would involve a lot of hassle and I'm not sure why they should be afforded that.

Ceremonially married? if they want to dress up and say the words then that's entirely their business, horrific violent criminals or otherwise. It's sort of irrelevant, really.
