Movies were great, I can't see a tv show living up to their standards, but I'm hopeful.

Jay. 10-04-2015 10:21 PM

I cannot wait!

andybigbro 10-04-2015 10:22 PM

Ooh! I'm intrigued!

Hope it's as good as the films! Would love cameos from Courntey Cox and Neve Campbell :flutter:

I've just watched scream 2 for the 3rd time forgot what happened, it was so intense, but the girls were silly in the car, should have taking off the mask Asap. Can't wait for the TV show, literary this year is so good for horror TV:
American Horror Story: Hotel
Scream Queens
Scream

Did you like Scream 4? thought it was really good! Kept you guessing the killer till the end.

This will get old soon methinks

I loved the first two movies, wasn't a fan of the third. The comedy aspect was too exaggerated. I've not seen the fourth yet but I just hope the series doesn't get carried away with trying too hard to be funny like Scream 3.

Tom4784 13-04-2015 12:13 PM

It'll be terrible I expect.

I thought The fourth was really good, especially who the killer was! It's difficult to compare scream 1-3 with 4 as there based two decades apart.

Trailer is quite good, so there is a ghost face but a radically redesigned one who looks rather scarier/weirder

Glenn. 13-04-2015 08:46 PM

When I first heard that they were making a TV series I thought it's a perfect format. Killer kills a couple of people in the first episode, then over the course of the series a few more get bumped off with the killer being revealed in the finale.

I fear that this will be like PLL and will go on forever. I'm not going to completely cast it aside yet but that's what TV series like this are.

Glimpse of the mask

There's also a rumour that
Spoiler:

the mask will evolve over the series and the movie version ghost face mask will make an appearance at the end of the series

The show will likely air early July as it premiers in the US on 30th June 2015, and we normally get things a few days - week later in the UK.

Watching scream 4 for like the fifth time! Gale still kicking arse! There are loads of clues to who the killer is, just by watching the person in many scenes you can tell.

There are loads of really good deleted scenes from Scream 4 which really should have been in the film and a few great alternative scenes, I will post them on the forum soon for any who are interested in seeing them.

Marsh. 19-04-2015 09:57 PM

So will this be a self contained story like AHS if it's renewed for another season?

I don't see it being very effective if the same story goes on for years.

Glenn. 19-04-2015 10:01 PM

Same tbh. Would be a bit ridiculous if it carried on series after series.

I love the alternate opening scene. They should have used that along with the accompanying other deleted scenes of the aftermath.

Not really sure what the plan is, depends if they are revealing the killer in the first season! Don't know if it's even set in Woodsbourough! There rumours that they might make a two part finale film, so the TV series could tie into the next film.

LukeB 19-04-2015 10:05 PM

i can't wait

The TV series has no ties to the film series at all.

yeah wasn't to sure as a lot of websites having being saying different things, yes the alternative opening was awesome, better than the original scene. I really hope Kirby is still alive as it was never confirmed if she died. I think a two part Scream 5 would be nice to finish the franchise, and then if its really successful then carry on. The latest Chucky proved that a horror franchise can come back and do well after a disappointing previous movie.

I once wrote a Scream 5 book, only got up to the end of the first scene (first murder), I will see if I can find it, but I have a feeling I deleted it.
