Christmas Stocking

Do you have a Christmas Stocking? If so what is it like? what kind of things do you get in it etc?

If not then why? do you think youre too old for a stocking? too much of a Grinch?

We have Stockings, we always had when we were growing up so just kinda carried on the tradition

The one I have has a Robin on it.

No.

Christmas stockings arenīt really a Finnish tradition. More American, i think.

Also we donīt have a fireplace, which i think is the usual place where they go.

We stopped the stocking tradition a couple of years ago.
Was too much hassle for me to find little bits and bobs, so the kids(adult kids)
Get to choose their big present and then we find a surprise for them for about Ģ60/70 .
Worked out ok so far.

I have one but I just get little presents in it. Or whatever presents can fit in it

We have stockings for decorations but we don't put presents in them, we put our presents in sacks

myself and exMrsLT always gave each other a stocking that had a tangerine and 50p in it, I also got the Christmas Private Eye and Spectator.

We always have one stocking for each member of the family and their partners.

They are purpose bought stockings which are very bright and festive, and which we always fill with what my dear old mum used to call 'niggy naggies' - small 'daft' gifts extra to those under and around the tree.

Everything from Golf Tees and Golf Balls, and Razors and blades for the Boys plus individual 'one off' speciality/novelty chocolates etc, to everyday cosmetic aides - wipes, lipsticks, mascara etc plus the novelty chocs etc for the girls.

My grown kids still love delving into their stockings even now.

When you're a kid there's nowt better than tearing into your stockings on Christmas Day and that never changes when you get older when you're ripping off the missis's stockings instead.
