Simon Cowell's London home burgled

Quote:

Music mogul Simon Cowell was burgled at his £10million London home as he and his family slept inside, with raiders escaping with jewellery and cash worth a six-figure sum.

The thieves broke into the property in the dead of night, while Cowell, his partner Lauren Silverman and their baby Eric were upstairs.

They sneaked into the Holland Park property at 2.20am yesterday and, after searching the house, spotted a key to a safe.

This was then emptied of cash and jewellery before the raiders fled.

anonymous source told The Sun. 'The burglar found the key and bingo, he was in.'

'Some of the gems were of sentimental value and there was some cash in the safe. The value of what was taken is well into six figures.'

Cowell, 56 and Miss Silverman, 38, only found out about the burglary when they were woken up by their personal minder. The bodyguard had been woken by an alarm.

A source told MailOnline: 'Obviously Simon and Lauren are badly shaken by this, but the most important thing is that they are safe and no harm came to them, and most obviously Eric.

'As upsetting as it is, Simon can cope with losing possessions as long as his family are safe.

'That is his one and only concern. Still, it's incredibly worrying and he is obviously going to review security and increase it.'

I'm sure Fleur's album sales will make up for the losses

Who on earth keeps 'cash worth a six figure sum' in their house :umm2:

Even if I was loaded I would NOT be doing that...thats insane

Vicky. 05-12-2015 10:38 AM

I think I read it wrong...jewelry and cash worth 6 figures...still daft to be keeping at home, not that its his fault this happened though

Vicky. 05-12-2015 10:38 AM

Also...LOL at leaving the safe key lying about?! Why bother having a bloody safe...

Must be an awful feeling to realise someone has been in your house while you are sleeping, bad enough being robbed while out.

I'd imagine Lauren has some expensive jewellery six figures isn't a lot when you think about it, for them I mean not us

Hopefully they'll find out who did it so he can get his property back.
