2011 and 2012's respective offerings were nothing short of diabolic and last year's edition was just about passable as a Christmas episode but far too Carter-centric and wasn't half as exciting as the ensuing boxing day episode. This year's been a marked improvement, IMO, but anyone could've put 2 and 2 together and guessed the story just by looking at the trailers.

At least in 2013 we had the eternally watchable Janine and that episode actually marked a turning point after years of dross. Not that it's riveting drama but anything's better than the disastrous start to this decade. The Kirkwood/Newman years of 2011 to late 2013 were unwatchable.

How long do producers stay with the show?

Diederick was there for three and a half years, Bryan Kirkwood was there for two years and Lorraine Newman was there for a year and a half.

He's only been there two years, I see him there for at least another year.

yeah, most of the current storyline will probs continue for a while. So leaving at the end of 2016 would be the best guess.

The best thing about 2014 was Mick punching Dean then Shirley shouting you're killing him..

armand.kay 26-12-2015 12:18 AM

Shaun 26-12-2015 01:25 AM

waterhog 29-12-2015 10:18 AM

none of the above as like I said on my last post - for about 5 years now it has been danny dyer lol

Gstar 29-12-2015 11:54 AM

^ he's only been there for two years, come correct with those receipts

I haven't really enjoyed the Christmas episodes after 2010 (apart from 13), it looks like they're starting to pay more attention to the new years episodes which I've always preferred over Christmas day, take 2015's new years episode for example
