Throwback to CBB13

Two years ago today CBB13 launched on Friday 3rd January, a great launch and series.

Will. 03-01-2016 06:00 PM

I watched the launch at home but we had relatives round due to the festive period, I made the children watch it with me who were my age (14 at the time).

They all loved it, it was the first time they had seen CBB/BB.

So I helped ch5 get an extra 3 viewers

I think every C5 CBB minus 2013 and CBB8 has been very good actually

CBB14 sucked imo. And I said when BB on C5 was good. Like it followed BB14 at the time (which was also good a series) and the state of the show was much better then than it is now.

I still remember this as a severely overrated series tbh, CBB15 and CBB16 were far superior imo. CBB14 was also better, I thought.

Agree with this tbh

CBB15 was rubbish in comparison to CBB13 imo. I don't know how people can say CBB15 was better than CBB13 (CBB16 I understand) but CBB15 was just a 31 day long argument between two sides of the same coin. And the production wasn't that good either looking back

Because some people preferred it, that's how.

CBB15 was unmissable telly for me, CBB13 I stopped watching daily once Lionel went

Loved CBB13 and CBB15

Then I don't know why anybody would prefer it to 13. Katie Hopkins vs. Perez was like the only storyline the series had and everybody else were fillers. Not to mention it represented everything most of us despise about BB today. Shoddy production, constant negativity, and focusing the entire show on a running feud between one/two housemates.

CBB15 had more substance than most remember. CBB16 was mostly Farrah dominating the highlights and Janice being Janice.

i.e when you're favourite was evicted. I can see why you enjoyed CBB15 given the whole show was centered around your favourite housemate.

I watched CBB13 most of the way through but I didn't even bother watching the finale because I didn't care, the only housemate I was truly bothered about was Liz.

I was really invested in CBB15's final because I actually felt strongly about the results I wanted. The Hopkins / Perez drama did grow tiresome but I still found the series as a whole pretty damn compelling, and it just seemed like more of an event than it had lately (as reflected by it being C5's highest rated series of BB).

Nope, when it just became Casey and Lee with Jim vs Linda every episode, and actually my favourite was probably Luisa that series :p

I enjoyed CBB15 as I thought it was like a classic CBB series, everybody was talking about it, I knew so many people watching for the first time on C5, I thought the casting was brilliant (There were so many fantastic names in that series), it just felt right for the first time in years :)

The difference with CBB16 though was that more of the cast contributed instead of just two people like even though Jarrah and Janice were the main ones you had housemates like Gail, James, Austin, Natasha, Scoop, and Chlovi all bring something and contribute to the show, whereas in CBB15 if you weren't arguing or as vocal with your Perez hate, you were practically edited out (housemates like Alicia, Katie P, Calum, and Patsy fell victim to that). The production was better as was the cast (not in terms of names, but entertainment).

The only finals I've never watched of CBB are 13 and 16 :p (both because it was obvious the top two were going to be the least deserving in the final :p)

Yeah BB13 and 14 were pretty good I don't know how they managed to mess up the next two so badly. :worry: I barely watched any of CBB13 though I was really busy with exams I should probably go back and watch it all at some point.

Love Triangle >>>> Katie Hopkins vs. Perez

BIB - So did CBB13. CBB13 started all of this

Jason. 03-01-2016 06:35 PM

Ik it comes across as I hate CBB15 but I don't. The first week/half of it is amazing and one of my fave weeks of C/BB, but the 2nd half ruined what was shaping up to be an amazing series and made it overall inferior to CBB13.

Oh I was really into the CBB16 final too, but this time because I would have been happy with all but one (the demon known as Austin) winning.

The 15 and 16 finals are actually similar for me in that the final two came down to someone I was happy with winning vs my least favourite. And gladly in both cases, good beat evil. :hee:

(I wasn't exactly championing James to win but over Austin I'll have him win anyday!).
