Channel 5 say they'll "relaunch" Big Brother.

Sounds like these "big changes" are going ahead then. Could they actually do the impossible and reinstate the live feed?

Cal. 17-03-2016 04:27 PM

Good

Jake. 17-03-2016 04:27 PM

Brian's long awaited return?

Oaker 17-03-2016 04:28 PM

Here for them actually making changes :clap1:

Cal. 17-03-2016 04:28 PM

I hate to be cynical but I can't help but feel that their idea of this new 'relaunch' will end up taking BB even further away from the original concept

A 24/7 subscription service online would be great [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

it's not going to be completely different though, CBB as it is clearly works for them

.

(but tbh can anyone blame us for being cynical when this is a show which managed to produce a worse series than BB15 ffs)

With Ronnie Pickering being the first rumoured housemate for the next CBB, I share some of that cynicism too. I'll remain cautiously optimistic though because I really want to believe them!!

I would pay
for live feed

Daniel. 17-03-2016 04:37 PM

I just want a natural flowing series, I don't see the big deal with live feed.

Oaker 17-03-2016 04:40 PM

I just want normal nominations and not twists every week

It's one of the core foundations of the very concept of Big Brother (not just the show but the idea of Big Brother in general).

This. I look forward to nominations when I watch old series' and we rarely ever get them nowadays.

Will. 17-03-2016 04:48 PM

I guess only time will tell, I'm slightly hopeful.

I know, I was talking more personally. I would be happy with just normal nominations and no twists, over live feed.

The BB14 relaunch worked well at the time so I have some hope that they know what they are doing :fc:

Will. 17-03-2016 04:50 PM

Yeah I agree, I didn't watch any CBB17 live feed :worry:

If it was online in the afternoon then I would watch. But I'd prefer changes to the format over live feed.

But from that point they took 3 steps forward and 10 steps back. :worry:

Was BB14 branded as a revamp for CH5 BB?

Jason. 17-03-2016 04:53 PM

I'm not a fan of the late night slot of live feed. I'm not going to stay up till 2am just to endure 30 minutes of live footage and the other half of the broadcast being adverts. The good thing about live feed back in the day was that you could simply turn it on whenever you wanted.

They sacked Brian, brought in Emma. Rebuilt the house for the first time.
Brought in Rylan and AJ.

Pretty big changes.

Daniel. 17-03-2016 04:53 PM

BB14 was weird, people went on about how it was a return to the glory days but it wasn't? It was even more manipulated than usual, and set stage for how contrived BB15 and BB16 were.
