Thumbs up button

What might might be a interesting addition is a thumbs up button a bit like the like feature on Twitter and Faceache for posts people agree with rather than people posting simple one or two word agreements which don't add to a thread

I was going add a thumbs down to the suggestion but that would probably be used against users and be against the central ethos of the the site and could cause fights to break out between members and make people feel picked on.

Nice to see you back Red. The place needs you.

I believe this has been discussed but is put on James' never ending to-do pile. :hee:

He's been rushed off his feet ever since Josy packed in the weekend shifts to swan off to her fancy hotels.

It's been asked for many times but not implemented (I can't remember why)

MTVN 18-04-2016 09:46 PM

Oh Red Moon, what have you done

Been away for a while so it wouldn't surprise me that it has been discussed before, but a bit of a poke never did James any harm. He might just move it up a few places on his list :)

Haven't been in the Towers yet.... but I know James has read this thread already, once a Mod always a Mod with Mod habits :)

EspeonBB 18-04-2016 10:23 PM

A like feature would be a great addition to the forum :clap1:

Shaun 18-04-2016 11:55 PM

Agreed!

(Welcome back Red )

Smithy 19-04-2016 07:04 AM

Wasn't the original reason it was declined because they thought it'd make threads less active

Dominic 19-04-2016 07:13 AM

No

Cherie 19-04-2016 07:18 AM

Would it put "slay" out of business :worry:

You will know Marsh is due a ban then :hee:

Kizzy 19-04-2016 07:28 AM

There is this, :clap1: it's used kind of as a 'like' ( I do anyway) or if you just want to kiss the bum of a member regardless of the topic.

Dominic 19-04-2016 07:33 AM

I think this would create drama idk why, but I have a feeling people will use it against others or try to be shady

LeatherTrumpet 19-04-2016 08:21 AM

what like this?

Most other forums have it, and it's nothing but positive, just liking a post you agree with seriously can't be seen as 'shady'

billy123 19-04-2016 11:28 AM

No. The get along gang would just use it to reinforce their clique. They already have the silly clappy smiley to do that. :clap1:

Black Dagger 19-04-2016 12:36 PM

Daniel. 19-04-2016 12:37 PM

Ninastar 19-04-2016 12:39 PM

Daniel. 19-04-2016 12:41 PM

Or make people think of more substantial responses than "This".
