Why have guests became a regular thing now?

I didn't mind the idea as a one of but..

Im sick of them. To be honest the series started with 18 housemates they said the others had to win their place in the house but I didn't see a lot of them winning places and they were all thrown into the house together. There are only a few weeks left they need to do double evictions and PLEASE PLEASE no more housemates or guests

They are meant to have no contact with the outside world. Big Brother is nothing like it used to be. C5 have ruined it.

It all depends who goes in, Jason's daughter, lateyshas mum, Marcos ex to challenge Laura, the married man Evelyn slept with...

It disrupts the house - in a bad way. Whatever tensions and relationships that have built up are put on hold while HMs have to interact with non-HM guests.

It's a bit insulting to the HMs as well, especially when they're already delivering like this bunch

Could be worse, quite a few reality TV shows have new contestants like every few days.
