Do people here know about how famous Speidi were
 

Just wondering because some people on this thread talk about Speidi like they're nobodies.

Yeah they're washed up and broke now, but I know many people who watched the Hills when it was on and

I remember once Spencer tweeted something years back saying 'People say Speidi are more famous than Brangelina, this is true but only by a small margin'. I laughed at that but still I was thinking, you know he actually kind of does have a point cause they are really famous. If you ask any A-Lister in hollywood who heidi and spencer are they would know and the whole of America pretty much knows them.

It's a shame they didn't do much this series but still, I know many young people tune in especially just because Speidi are in it,

I myself would name them the king and queen of reality TV...

They are huge part of pop culture. And had a big impact on reality tv.
But tbh no one cares about them anymore. Only the BB community are bothered with them. And that twitter account popculturediedin2009 is still trying to make them relevant.

Yeah you are right, only BB fans would actually even know they are on TV. I remember after their last series people said they would get their own show but they didn't. Other people from the Hills still have careers but I guess the hype of being reality TV villains in America kinda died down.

Still its a shame because, nothing lasts forever I guess,

I remember when the Situation was on CBB I was like woah, an actual big, current, American star, they did well with him because Jersey Shore was still on when he came in, even listening to him talk about what was coming up in the next series of Jersey Shore when he was on CBB, I was like, I'm surprised he needed to do CBB.

I still don't get it though, if this summer is the series of actual good CBB legends, why are they on this one.

And it still dont get why the likes of Perez, Tiffany were asked to join this one if this summers one is supposed to be the good one:conf:

Speidi are very one dimensional, with very little imagination. They rely on what has worked for them in the past, to keep on working, but it doesn't.
True they are well known in the US, but it's because they are disliked (at least that's the concensus of every American I've spoken to) Being disliked is not necessarily a bad thing if it keeps them in the public eye, but even then they have got to deliver something fresh and interesting and they don't. All pi.. and wind as we would say in Yorkshire.

The thing is people all over the world know who Brangelina are.It seems up until CBB it was mainly just Americans who knew Speidi.So not as famous as they try to make out.

Not so famous,never heard of them until they did CBB,like people say definitely not A listers.

I'd never heard of them before they did BB but I'm aware they're pretty famous in terms of RTV. But reality fame is fleeting and quite fickle so I'd doubt they're as famous as brangelina.

being famous for being arseholes isnt that great is it. the uni bomber and jimmy saville were famous as well.

They're the biggest reality television villains ever as far as I'm aware. They were hugely famous in the 00s but their fame dwindled because they don't have another show in the US to be villains on (they exhausted most of their opportunities I believe) and after they threw away all their money they probably lost their glamour appeal too.

I am an old fart but remember them in the hills , he was horrible in that but I loved watching him

lets not go nuts, they were semi-famous for a couple years, mainly for "why is Heidi with this douchebag?" then "why is Heidi getting so much plastic surgery?"

I remember Spencer from the The Hills with Heidi and Lauren Conrad which I remember from about 10 years ago. I guess it all depends on what television/ popculture you're into. To be honest I had never heard of Nicola before Celebrity Big Brother and I don't recognize Jamie from Adam - he just looks and sounds like any other footballer.

I smell a hint of jealousy from a lot of people when addressing Speidi - I mean they're obviously "someone" because they are in Celebrity Big Brother (twice). Haters gonna hate.

The Hills was one of the most iconic US reality shows of all time. It was something pretty much everyone in America was talking about and ppl all around the world were.

Heidi and Spencer were very very well known and at the end of the day I dont think anyone can knock them, they reached levels of fame that no one in that house has ever reached. I mean they even quit IAC USA because they said were too famous and YES they were too rich and famous for the show, I was watching thinking what the hell are they doing in there?

as i said, they were semi famous for being dickheads and were once voted the most hated couple in america. They are now broke, no friends, no future and Spencer still thinks he is something special. One step away from being vagrants if it wasnt for his rich dad who he ponses off all the time. Spencer incidentally thinks he is above a regular 9 to 5 job and refuses to do one.

Lol mate they got paid around 600k for this show and 300k for their last stint. They get paid plenty of thousands of dollars for small reality shows like marriage bootcamp, your telling me they need a 9-5 job, please lol

And as for semi famous, your telling me that in 2010 or 2011 you would have said that these two were not even famous :joker: My brother went to Hollywood around then and saw their house along with Simon Cowells in Hollywood and said it was so big, yeah people who have their houses shown on Hollywood tours must really be barely famous.
