Charity? I don't know her

I've hosted lots of events that have raised thousands of pounds for charities, I like giving back to the world.

I did a sponsored swim for cancer research, swam a mile and I broke my personal best, it wasn't a fast time but all the same I was delighted I broke my best time. All the while I was thinking of my Auntie Vera who had died of stomach cancer. I also did a run for cancer research.

I've done Macmillan coffee mornings, I've played in charity football matches.
But apart from that, I'm not a big one for charity, unless it's something close and meaningful to me. I certainly wouldn't give to any BBC charity like comic relief, children in need or sports relief. I don't want to be paying for the organisers cocaine debts. |
