They're not goodys for saying that are they?

Kids grieving really. Doubt they meant it.

Jeff was on BBC this morning talking about his book on grief.
His sons were badly missing their Mum and grieving themselves when they said that.

When people are hurting, sometimes with grief, they need to lash out.
That will likely manifest itself towards the real next closest person to them

In this case them and their Dad.
Firstly knowing it would be understood and secondly to get some of the anger in grief released as to the early loss of their Mum from their lives.

Really sad and Jeff clearly has done a great job with his sons.
I'm looking forward to reading his book on grief myself.

Exactly. He puts it really well in the article I think...

Jeff added: "Grief generates the worst possible feelings, it really clouds your judgement.

"The words they come out with they're not always in control of, and they're just saying them because what they're actually trying to say is, 'Dad, help me.'
I haven't lost a parent so I can only imagine the kind of grief someone goes through, especially at such a young age.

I dont think it is fair for him to be talking about this

I bet they dont even remember their mum.
luckily they will have episodes of bb3 to remind them.

Its heartbreaking to think of what they have gone through at that age. Losing a parent is incredibly hard at any age, I felt too young when I lost my mum and I was 39. Its something you never get over and there are times when you get angry at the world and do hit out at those closest to you. Jeff has done a fantastic job with those boys it would seem and the fact that he is brave enough to tell this shows how much he's had to deal with and how strong he has had to be.
