‘Human Ken Doll’ Rodrigo Alves has dropped out of the Celebrity Big Brother line-up after heading to Iran for surgery.

Previous reports suggested that the reality TV personality – who found fame after spending almost £375,000 on cosmetic surgery procedures – had signed up to the summer series of the show for a six-figure fee.

However it doesn’t look like it’s happening now, as he’s undergoing his tenth nose job at a hospital in Kish, Iran – as well as having work done on his chin and teeth.

‘Roddy really needs this surgery, so can’t go into the Celebrity Big Brother house,’ a source told Metro.co.uk.

‘He was excited about joining the other celebrities and showing his real personality but is now heading to Iran to help his breathing.’

Rodrigo told Mail Online that he needed to have the work done on his nose, saying: ‘I don’t want to have to have another nose operation, but I have no choice. I wanted to look better, but now I can’t breathe at all.

‘So it is hard to deal with. It’s going to be very painful and risky.’

The Brazilian-born fashionista – who earned the nickname ‘The Human Ken Doll’ thanks to his fondness for surgery – had his first procedure, aged 17, to remove breasts which had developed due to a hormone dysfunction.

He previously appeared on This Morning, claiming in his interview that he had been born in the wrong body – and is now planning more ventures on to the small screen with a forthcoming appearance in reality show Botched!

A spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother told metro.co.uk they couldn’t comment as the line-up had yet to be confirmed.

Celebrity Big Brother begins on Channel 5 on August 1, with housemates rumoured to include Sarah Harding, Amelia Lily, Gogglebox’s Sandi Bogle, Ex On The Beach’s Jemma Lucy, former TV presenter John Leslie and ex-EastEnder Shaun Williamson.
