Would you date a bodybuilder?

I like muscles on a woman but I draw the line at any use of steroids and the many side effects

Im also not keen on the spray tans or any vanity or too much preening and self - indulgence

Just wondering what you think of dating bodybuilders?

oh yeah

Vicky. 05-10-2017 01:35 PM

No I really do think it looks horrendous and I cannot imagine ever being attracted to anyone who does that tbh. Of course I am talking of the way OTT ones, but even large muscles on guys put me off a bit. Toned is good. But cloud arms are not

Niamh. 05-10-2017 01:36 PM

I like a bit of muscle but I find the body builder type body a bit too much to find attractive

Niamh. 05-10-2017 01:38 PM

Having said that the Rock is really attractive so maybe

caprimint 05-10-2017 01:39 PM

Don't think I'd find it to that extent attractive, my bf has big muscles but only from gym

the truth 05-10-2017 01:39 PM

it seems these days the steroid abuse is worse than ever and the bodybuilders look ridiculous...whereas back in arnies day it was about aesthetics more than size

the truth 05-10-2017 01:40 PM

i must admit i like arm wrestling my gf though and asking her to flex, shes naturally strong but thats through sports and tennis not weights and drugs

I would like to think that most people can see past looks and choose on personality saying that though I do like a little bit of muscle but too much does nothing for me tbh

The rock I find quite hot at times I have to admit. But I am not sure if thats because he comes across quite funny and stuff. Like it seems I can look past it if the actual person seems decent? But the bodybuilder look is certainly not for me at all and I would never go for someone on first impressions if they looked like that. I also think it makes female people look like blokes when they go OTT. Even the first one LT posted in this thread I think looks pretty manly :S Others just look toned though.

armand.kay 05-10-2017 02:33 PM

Fat or muscle I'm not really into wide guys

Surely it's always about overall look and not specifics... Different people suit different body types. You can only really judge if you find someone attractive on an individual basis, IMO.

Like... You could describe your "physical ideal" as a list, and then be shown someone who ticks all of those boxes, and just be like "meh". On the other hand you could see someone who isn't what you would describe as "your type" and yet still be instantly drawn to them.

Rocky isn't that much bigger than he ever was, the real difference is that he's getting a bit older now. In his earlier days he was probably 12 - 15% body fat which sort of gives a "covering" on the muscles, when you're young they're smooth but still well defined. But once you get older and lose skin elasticity, there'll be an obvious "sag" to any excess body fat, and to avoid that you have to drop below 10% which results in being able to see the actual form of the muscle / veins etc.

So yeah in short I'd say the rock has been as big as he is now before, but with less obvious definition.

For me personally, a bit of muscle on women is fine but there's a point where it starts to verge on masculine, which I don't find attractive.

smudgie 05-10-2017 04:40 PM

Yes.
Built up muscle though and not steroid induced.
I had a very muscular hard man partner many many moons ago.

Edit. Short term.

Babayaro. 05-10-2017 04:51 PM

I don't find it attractive tbh

the truth 05-10-2017 04:56 PM
